We will be there on the 18th - well actually we will still be at Universal but we may be able to be there.

Anyway, Mickeyfan1 can you send me more info? Times, prices, if you still have openings, etc.?? I would love to meet everyone, it sounds like so much fun. There will be 3 of us, DH, DS12 and me.

Still waiting to hear from 3 people, but we have enough for the party, so WDW is faxing me the contract and menus. As soon as everything is set, I will PM everyone with what I will need for security and payment.

Well, Maggie (Saffron) and I will be in WDW from the 7th through the 19th. . . but because of budget restraints and the fact the 18th will be our last night there and we promised ourselves we'd end the vacation with a night at the Magic Kingdom, I'm afraid we can't make the Illuminations deal. .

But if you all can get something together for the 12th, we would more then likely be able to do that. . . we're planning on being in Epcot that afternoon and evening; how about meeting in one of the World Showcase countries or one of the Boardwalk eateries?


We could also see about meeting on some other dates as well if anyone has any suggestions. .

The 12th is E night at Magic Kingdom...... There are so many of us going to be there at that time, as you can see. I know that I can't change my party nights, but I am all for meeting somewhere on the 12th for something. If you and Mags (ooops, I hope she does't mind that, I have an old friend Maggie whom we all called Mags) want to set something up, I bet I can make it! Could be DATW if we could find the flag! Or just liquid refreshments at R&C?

OK all you August 8th to 19th DISers, let's see what other trouble, er I mean meets, we can get into here.

Okay, how does meeting at the R&C at 3:30 on the 12th sound? We could actually do it anytime after 3:30 too.. . and if the 12th isn't convieniant, we could do it 3:30 or later on the 9th as well. .

Either of those is fine with us; just let me know what's best for you MickeyFan1 and anyone else who is interested. .

I believe that 3:30 at the Rose and Crown will work for me! I'll have my DS with me that day, I am sure he won't mind hoisting one or two guiness. I'll see who else I can drum up.

Looking forward to meeting you and Saffron, I have only seen your pictures from the Zurgs last week. I had drinks with Zurg, ZW and Scuttle last Decemberand R&C, this will bring back good memories.

Good question, I will have to see what the contract says, and if nothing is there, I'll call group dining. I would think if it was so bad that they couldn't set up, they would refund the $.

We will all have to do the No Rain dance! Which I understand is quite like the Ya Ya Nekey Dance, but we are not going there!

Wish we could go, but we're leaving the day before. Do you mind sharing the scoop though on setting up one of these things? E.g., who do you call, when do you have to call by, how much, how many people can you have, etc. etc.

OK, here is the official anwer:
If rain is forecasted, we try to find an available in door location as a back up space.

The decision to use a back up location needs to be made by 4:00 pm.

The dessert party location is still held for the group so that they may view IllumiNations. The food and beverage items are set at the back up location.

If Walt Disney World makes the decision to close the Parks, the event will be refunded. It is very rare that the Parks are closed, though. The IllumiNations Show is still shown even if it is raining, it too is rarely cancelled..

So that would mean food in a sheltered area and still a "reserved spot" to see Illum. Boy, Disney thinks of everything!
If it is rotten weather, I could call everyone on their cell phone and let them know where the food will be, if you want. You all can PM me your number, if you have one, and that way we can stay informed if necessary.

Marsha, will you send me a pm with the dates and times and places of your meets? I want to add them to the index.

Could we have separate sign up posts for each meet you have planned? That way I can put the computer friendly numbers on each one and it won't be so confusing for those signing up.

Or do you already have separate posts? If you already have them separate just ignore me. I've been spending too much time at the hospital and not much time on DIS meets.
