Passports

Hi
I've been reading on another site about the passport requirements to do with the VWP but i'm a bit confused as i'm not sure whether mine are valid,
none of our passports run out until 2011, not going until November
Can anyone help?

I highly doubt that your passport isn't suitable - are you a british subject rather than a british citizen? do you have criminal convictions? are there rows of chevrons/numbers/letters on the bottom of the photo page?
if you answer no no yes, then you're fine

I am not sure what VWP stands for but if you hold full British passports that do not expire until 2011 you have nothing to worry about - ours are 2010.

none of us have convictions, and they do have the chevrons on the bottom of the page, so they are valid.
It's just every time somebody posts about passports sometimes there is some information that is confusing and although i think that the passports are valid somehow i seem to worry to much.

pic is 2 years old though now, we actually left them behind at a villa in 2004, so some little kid is probably now wearing them

It IS always best to check and I apologise if I seemed a bit snippy but to be honest as a travel agent I'm asked this 20+ times a day and its maddening that the press KEEP printing stories saying 'you need a visa' 'you need a biometric passport' 'you need to renew your passport etc' so sorry if I was a bit abrupt
