Does anyone know if the Cruise PassPorter will have a new edition for 2005? We are planning a Sep. 2005 land/sea package and have been to Disney several times but want to know all the in and outs on the cruise. :earseek:

This years came out in April so will probably be the same for 2005 ,however i'm sure you'd benefit from this years, its choc full of tips and help for planning , just wouldn't have the west coast cruise information.

I have the 2003 edition which I read cover to cover many times for our 3night last Sept.

I too am planning Sept 2005 cruise. The last newsletter I got from the authors made reference to a 2005 version to be realeased early 2005. Am anxiously awaiting!!! :hyper: :hyper:

We are WDW veterans but were total newbies to cruising when we were on the June 20th Wonder. I used the Passporter extensively (last year's edition) and found it extremely helpful and thorough. Of course, I knew it was a year old so if there was anything I thought might be dated, or if there was something it didn't cover, I was able to get the answers right here!

I wonder if the 2005 edition will have any info on the West Coast Cruises??? I have the 2004 edition, but we are going on the West Coast Cruise in July 2005...would love to have info on the West Coast ports!!!!

I can't wait, for the book and the cruise. I have heard a great deal on how helpful the Passporter is. We were on a cruise before but this is the first for Disney and the very first for our DS who will be 9 yrs old next year. I guess I'll wait untill early 2005 then start looking for the pre-orders.

If you don't want to buy 2004, check out your local library to see if they have it.

Don't be surprised if your library doesn't have it--the newest WDW books our library has are 2002, and they have a planning video from the 25th anniversary in 1996/97!

I wouldn't expect that they'd have anything more than the most general information about the West Coast cruise, since they have to do all the writing & printing well before the West Coast cruises even begin. Even if Disney releases information to them about excursions, etc, they won't have any real experience with it.

I expect that our best source of information for the West Coast cruises is going to be right here - after people have been on a couple and share their experiences. It's hard waiting (I know we're going on 7/9/05), but that's going to give us all the inside scoop.

Our city library didn't but the county peice (they share the same building and rooms) said they had a few copies in florida and would see what they could do to get it for me. I called a few days after that and they said it would take quite a while to get it, So they ordered me a brand new book from someplace and it should be here in about a week as it has been 4 now. wow it'll be just like my own. I can check it out again and again, then when we get ready to go i'll buy the updated version. saves me a bit.

Sarangel...we're on the July 9, 2005 cruise also!!! It'll be me, DH, DD8 and DS4. We can't wait!!!

Do you guys highly recommend getting this if I'm thinking of booking a cruise?

Karlyr, I've never read any of the Birnbaum guides, but would highly recommend the Passporter guide, lots of interesting reading!

Thanks Pidge.. I'm gonna go out and get one today, should be good entertainment for the weekend!!! I am so excited and I haven't even booked my cruise yet!!! :p

The Birnbaums Guides are fantastic...they are very well put together and have tons of info on WDW. I am very interested to see how they do with the DCL one.
