Passporter Guide

I consider myself pretty well educated on Disney. Im waiting until the 2012 Unofficial Guide comes out to buy it for our 11/11 trip, but I want a new Disney book NOW. I'm thinking about getting the Passporter book, but I don't know if I would get anything out of it. Have any of you WDW experts used the Passporter book and liked it?

I love the Passporter. I buy the new one every year. I love their maps and I think it has alot of good info. I usually get mine at Borders with a coupon.

Even the most seasoned WDW visitor will enjoy the Passporter books.

I've gotten several of their publications over the years

If you order directly from their site I believe you get a discount. You'll then be in their system also, to get discounts on other books. THey also do a series of ebooks that you can just download to your computer

I'm a big fan of their books! The maps alone are worth buying the book for!!! If you register on their forums you will have access to a pretty good discount code.

I really found the Passporter and the binder useful. I liked being able to take out pages that weren't needed. The little pockets in the back were a big help in staying organized for each day of our trip.

We can't wait to order another one for our cruise!

Yeah I really think they put out good guides. Really well organized and easy to use. I'm also looking forward to the new cruise edition for our Med cruise!

I can't say that I get any really good new info out of the Passporter but I do like the organizational aspect of them

I love them for the PassPockets.
I track everything we spend.
Then I can use that info later, if I am trying to see if I want to do a dining plan or not,, or how much I paid for plane tickets or hotel in previous years.
It is sort of a journal for my trip

If you just want to read about Disney, The Disney A to Z is good as well as the two WDW Trivia Books by Louis Mongello. Gets you really excited about your trips. Also Hidden Mickeys is a fun book as well.

I used to be a huge guidebook junkie, back when I didn't go as frequently as I do now. I started out with my "official" Birnbaum's guide for 1987 and it became fun thereafter.

I started reading the Unofficial Guide for 1992 and beyond. Passporter started around 1999 or so. What I liked about Passporter was that it became an organizer and guidebook combo, and it was the first guide I've ever seen that had resort maps.

The most useless guidebooks I've seen were the "Idiots" or "Dummies" guides. I had gotten one years ago that was so out of date, it was giving tips on things that were a couple of years out of date. That was poor editing, and I would never recommend those guides.

I would recommend the Unofffcial Guide and Passporter wholeheartedly because they are constantly researching and updating their info.

If you just want a 2011 book to read, check your local library. I've been getting books out just to see what various companies suggest (even though our trip this year will be our 4th year in a row). I found several 2011 books on the shelves. Our library system includes all in the county so I can go online and have books sent from other libraries to mine for $.50. Very useful!

I used the Passporter guide for the first time last year when I was helping my developmentally disabled brother in law create a journal of our trip.

Lots of fill in the blanks and folders with pockets. It had less tips and tricks and info to read, but it was fun to fill out the book together. It makes a good keepsake when you are finished with your trip.

The Passporter is okay, but it isn't as good as the Unofficial Guide. And it isn't as cute as the Disney one.

If you just have to buy a book - any book! - then buy it. There's nothing wrong with it...but there isn't any reason to spend money on it, either. Not IMO, anyway.
