Passport renewal for kids?

My daughter was just under 3 when we got her passport, but we'll need to renew it before our November trip this year.

Is there a link to renew it online? I think the one I saw is more general, no kid specific.

Children do not qualify for Online renewals using the simplified process..

12. Are children eligible for passport renewal?

No. Before issuing a passport to a child under 16 years of age, Passport Canada must verify the custody of, access to and mobility of the child. This is done to safeguard children against international abductions. The simplified renewal process does not allow Passport Canada to do the required security checks for applicants under 16 years of age.

Thanks! Wish we didn't have to go through the whole process again, but it's not like we have a choice. Oh well at least this one will be good for 5 years.
