Me too! Everytime I talk to my friends about going to Europe for the first time and the main thing I want to see and do is Disneyland Paris, I get more dirty looks and eye rolls. I mean, I'm going to do all the sightseeing and experience Europe for the first time, but I'm NOT going all that way and be THAT close to Disneyland Paris and just not go!

That just wouldn't be right.

It'd be un American.

I had my photo done at Walgreens, the rest was at our courthouse. The $75.00 went to the USA, the $25 went to the county....

I didn't have any jewlrey on, but the gal told me if I did I had to remove it also....

Yep, and if you had long hair they'd have made you pull it behind your ears.

Believe it or not, I know what these issues are about (and why they are being newly implemented). Cognitive AI systems that do facial recognition are finally getting to the point where they can somewhat effectively identify people. So, your passport photo needs to be of a quality that can be used by facial recognition software. What this means is no smile (to get the natural curve of your cheeks and mouth), no glare spots in your eyes (to locate and space your pupils), no long hair alongside the face (because it could block cheek curvature and ear markings, no jewelery (because its weight could change shapes and/or the software could accidentally identify it as a landmark), etc.

(Now, I bet that's more than you wanted to know about Cognitive Science and/or Artificial Intelligence, but, you did ask.)

Honestly, we did book a trip, where in the future a Passport will be required, but not yet. Shrek just called me from work and told me to go get it! I will have to get one eventually, we all will, and he found an extra $100 somewhere!

I do like Buffalo! Went to DCI there, made a side trip to Niagra Falls, beautiful area!

Buffalo has lots of great restaurants and bars. And in the summer the weather is beautiful! And we've got both Niagara Falls USA and Canada within a short drive ... add some wineries and it doesn't get much better.

My only issue was getting from Downtown to the football stadium every day. That highway is a mess.

Oh and the Hyatt downtown. They didn't understand the drum corps crowd! "Lights out at 11:00"

There are a lot of restaurants along the water front but it may have actually been the Buffalo Yacht Club.

Hmmm... from downtown Buffalo to Wilson/Bills Stadium they probably took you on the 90 but they should have taken you over the Skyway and then cut up some other roads.

The Hyatt ... when I taught at the local university we had some offices there. Now that I work for the government we have meetings there once in a while. Many years ago (before my time) it was the YMCA so everytime I go therefor a meeting I think of the Village People.

We stayed at Disneyland Paris, and just took the train into Paris each day we didn't have planned for the parks.

I so wanna go to Barcelona or Rio.
