passport question

This is really a question about using a birth certificate.

We're leaving for our Southern Caribbean cruise later this week. Tonight I went looking for the passports and could find only DH's. I then remembered that I'd taken an international business trip since the last time he and I traveled internationally together. I'm 95% sure I can find it in the next 5 days, but that 5% has me concerned.

I checked and I DO have a certified copy of my birth certificate. I have a driver's license, but our state is one of the states without the enhanced licenses. Will I be ok?

Also, if I need to go the BC route, should I bring my marriage certificate to prove I'm the same person, since my BC and license have different names on them.

Yes, you will be fine with BC, DL, and ML combo for a closed-loop US-based DCL trip. If you are taking a point-to-point (start in one port and getting off in another) or a trip that starts/ends in a foreign county port then you will need the passport.

I had a similar problem and used a rush service. Had my new passport in a couple of days. Came FedEx. I used rushmypassport.com and they were great, but I know there were other services too.
