does your passport have to be valid for six months after your trip to france. ashleighs passport is valid until july but we are travelling in march. should i get her a new one or is hers still valid for our trip.

thanks for your help

It will be fine, mine expires at the beginning of June and i am travelling next week on it. I have been informed that in France it only needs to be valid for your length of stay.
You cold always renew it now as you get up to 9 months added onto it but if money is tight (as in my case) there is no need to. :goodvibes

Hi
I can confirm the above post - the passport only needs to be valid for the duration of your trip. We have just got back from DLP and my daughters expires in Feb so I had to check this before we went and we were fine.

thanks poppie. my mam said it to me today and i was worried as its just eight weeks before we go and you have to leave at least six weeks to get a passport here. i have been searching the internet but its good to hear it from a real person lol

I think there was only about 2 weeks left on Anna's when we came back after going to Disney for the first time but no one batted an eyelid about it. Get it sorted once you come back in March so you will be all ready for your next trip!

Phew, thats a releif as I read yesterday in the brit guide to DLP it needs to have three months on it but have already told my friends its for length of stay x
