Passport photo recommendation

Hi,

I don't often plug companies, but I thought this might be of use to some guys on the board.

I was having problems getting photo's for my daughter's passport (she's 17 months old). I went to Max Speillman who weren't pleased about taking the photo (said they didn't do young children), but eventually did. In the end this was rejected by the passport office as her head was too small in the photo.

So I decided to do my own and used http://www.photolizard.co.uk/

You send your digital pic in and they check it to see if it will pass the passport office requirements. I also got it in the next days post.

Some of the restrictions they put on passport photos for young babies are rediculous and obviously written by someone who has never tried to take a photo of a baby before

I read that some of the rules have been relaxed - I think the baby is allowed to smile now!

That made me giggle. I got my DD's first passport when she was 18 months old. She was strapped in her pushchair with a sheet of white paper behind her to get the white background and I think we'd told her not to smile -she looked sooooooooooooooooooooo sad it was untrue.

We done our DS picture at 6 weeks old He is now nearly 3 and last time we went on holiday I didn't really see the point of showing them his passport.
