Passport info needed for cruise 75 days in advance?

Hi everyone, we have never cruised Disney before and I couldn't find an answer to this in my forum search so I'm hoping someone can help.

We are going on a cruise mid-June with our kids. We have an appointment at the beginning of March to take care of getting their passport applications done. However, the Disney website says they request our passport info be entered 75 days prior in My Online Checkin. I don't know whether our passports will be back this early (my guess is no). Is this going to cause us a problem with being able to check in online (keeping us from getting boarding times, kids' club reservations, etc) or even with actually going on the cruise?

Last year I put in my kids expired passport number with a valid expiration date (valid in the sense that I made sure it was valid, it was really expired) so I could check in online. I went back in when their new passports had arrived and changed the info. I'm guessing you can just put in any sort of number and change it when the actual passports come in.

Yes, you can put in any number and then go back later and put in the correct information when you receive the passports. Another option, if you are sailing on a closed-loop cruise out of a US port, just select that you are using birth certificates. You can go back and change that to passports at a later time. That won't work on the European and Alaskan itineraries though.
