Passholder update

Sure but it makes me nervous but we'll have to wait and see.

yes, me too.. I am not one to think that if they make any changes it will be to benefit us. Like the nice $50 hike they did in their renewal rates... :scared1: I love WWoHP, but that is what caused the rate hike.. at least what I think...

So has anyone heard some of the rumors running around that they may black out IOA at certain times of the year because of the WWoHP crowds...I surely hope this is nothing but a NASTY rumor

There were tons of questions about blackouts on the latest AP survey.

Well it's already confirmed that IOA will be blocked out for a significant chunk of time for Power Pass holders.

As you can see from the link, Power Passes will only be blocked from US for that week following Christmas, but will be blocked from IOA for that same week, the last two weeks or so of April, all of July, and first two weeks of August. I don't believe I've ever seen the Power Pass have so many black out dates.

I believe the Power Passes were blacked out quite a bit a few years ago but the dates were lifted. Now they're back apparently. I wonder what this will do to the renewal/purchase cost now? It should come down but I wonder.

I didn't realize that the blackout dates used to be so extensive on the Power Pass, I've only ever had the Preferred.

It's hard to say what will happen with rates for renewal and/or purchase. I definitely think we'll see some changes with not only prices, but benefits offered with the passes. Hard to say what those will be at this point though.

So if this is the policy, then why did they take away the unlimited express for Premier Pass Holders halfway through the year? :confused3

I think that perk was taken away early this year. It's officially once through the line but sometimes it's not enforced.

I have a distinct feeling Universal is about to anger A LOT of passholders if they make any drastic changes for next year.

I hope they dont do anything TOO drastic...I honestly do not mind being blacked out from IOA over the summer, I rarely go in the heat of the summer anyway.

As for Universal making changes, I am worried. I have always commented that US treats is passholders VERY well...lots of perks and such...and for them to make any major moves may hurt their loyal followers

evidently, i waited a bit too long to take this one...it was closed before i had a chance to complete it:confused3

any standout Qs this time? Probably doesn't matter anyway, I remember the one re the structure/pricing of tix...despite my thumbs down they still continued with it:laughing:

Most of the questions gave you a chart with the three types of passes with a list of the restrictions, benefits and the price for each and you had to choose which one you would purchase---or none at all with those options. There were at least ten of those types of questions.

I couldn't remember exactly when it was taken away, but I still think the way that was handled was awful. (IE Guest Services telling me I had unlimited, some staff not knowing, some not caring, others sticking to what it says on the ticket)

But I feel the lack of continuity is a big weakness for Universal. A staff member at Louie's didn't believe me that my pass was premier because "it was paper and didn't have a photo", although it said it on the back (she apparently didn't get the memo they changed them). And this issue of continuity will only get worse once changes to APs start..
