Passholder Program vs. Fl Res. Rates?

Are they usually the same, or does the AP program offer better rates? Also, we won't have our passes until the first day of our trip when we go to a park and upgrade our 1 day tickets to Fl. Res. Seasonal passes...so will they still give you the rate just make you come back when you get your pass and show them like they used to? Or are we just stuck waiting for a Fl. Res. rate?
 
I live in Florida too, and I've found that the AP rate and the FL Resident rate are usually the same. :)
 
I agree with Rhonda who posted above - usually about the same price - and it also seems like the availability is about the same on each.... :earsgirl:
