Passholder discounts thru December!

Thanks for the heads up on this thread. I just booked a little "quickie" at PC for 12/18-12/23. I don't have my AP yet, I have the vouchers..but the CM said you just need it at check in. No problem with 12/18-12/19 being Friday and Saturday-every night was $89....$500+change for 5 nights including tax! :woohoo:

I didn't have the PIN or code, but he got it for me.:goodvibes

I tried calling this morning to see if WL was available from Nov. 29th to Dec. 6th and there was nothing available there for the AP discount. Disney offered me the AKL but we don't care the AKL.
I guess we will stay at the Beach Club with our 40% pin code. :)

Here's a dumb question...when it says throught he 24th of December does that mean you need to check out by the 24th or can you stay the night of the 24th and still get the discount???

Also if this deal is opened to VISA holders how will we know?

If we already have a package booked will we automatically get the discount on the nights that are eligible? Or are there only a few rooms available and its firt come first served when the deal comes out? I'm thinking we should get it if we have already booked...it would stink to call up and ask for it to be added into our package to find out everyone else beat us and there were none left for the dates!

You can stay past 12/24 but the nights after that will be at rack rate.

We're at the WL 12/17-12/26, and we got the discount for every night except 12/25. :goodvibes

Also your package will not be automatically adjusted. You will need to call and see if the discount is available to be applied to your existing ressie. HTH.

did you get a quote for AKL for those dates?

I have an AP, and my sister has a dining pin. If we want dining it would still be cheaper to use her pin code then to us my AP room discount and add dining on. Now we just have to decide if we really want dining. I'm leaning towards the we don't need it side, as we will be going during the Food and Wine festival. I like to snack around the World Showcase, and probably won't need a sit down meal every day.

Plus her oldest daughther has stated that she doesn't want to waste time eating, she wants to go on the rides!!!

Remember that with your sister's PIN, you probably have to buy another admissions ticket for yourself, so that adds $75 or so to your cost. And as an AP holder, you could buy the TiW card for 20% off most table service meals, to reduce the cost of the occasional TS, without worrying that you're "wasting" credits you've already paid for. (One of the reasons we don't do the dining plan.)

I could not be happier
Just saved $800 on our October trip to All Stars Music Suites and $2100 on our December trip to ASMSus-- I am so psyched- thank you boards for keeping me informed! you saved me and my family big time!

I booked 12/3-12/6 in ASMusic for only $54 a night! For a GRAND total of ONLY $183!!! THANKS FOR ALL WHO INFORMED ME OF THE AP RATES!!!:cool1::yay::cheer2:

I'm so torn! We LOVE Food & Wine, and a stay at a Value is a good bargain. But we didn't have a Fall trip budgeted, since we just bought DVC and are already saving up for an add on. Still thinking...

YAY!! Got CSR for 99 instead of rack rate 170!!!

So excited!!! :cool1::cool1:

I had seven nights at CSR already with a 40% PIN code, but was having to pay rack rate for the first night (since that date wasn't included in the PIN dates). I just called and rebooked the whole trip with the AP rate. Now I have only one reservation, won't have to change rooms after the first night, have the 40% off for the entire trip, and was able to book the DDP without buying one day park tickets. I'm a happy camper!:cool1:

OK, so I just got off w/CRO...12/18 and 12/19 (Friday/Sat) were not includedin the AP rate for CSR, so double check and have your dates broken down as it appears the resorts are all different in what dates/rates etc. I am thinking of doing the switch to AP from FD, as DS can apply his 1 day free BDay entrance to the AP...making it about 425...which helps us out overall..lonf story, but we need flexibility over FD...good luck to all!

That's odd. I got it early yesterday morning (right after the AP rates came out). We're at CSR Dec 12th-20th and got the 40% off for the entire eight nights.:confused3 I already had a 40% off pkg with dining booked for those dates, it just didn't include the first night. That first night was at rack rate. She took off my 40% PIN and applied the AP rate. She credited my credit card for a little over $300.00 back (the 40% applied to the first night and 3 one day park tickets, I now didn't need). My confirmation number remained the same as the one night ressie I already had and she canceled the seven night ressie I had. I don't know if it being a pkg rather than room only had anything to do with it or not, but I go the 40% off for the entire 8 nights.

edited: FinFan, you got me worried. I just went online and checked my ressie. Dec 18th & 19th start Holiday rates, whereas the rest of the ressie is during Value season. That's why the 18th and 19th are higher. They are included with the AP discount though. With three adults in the room, during Value season a standard CSR room at rack rate is $164.00 but goes up to $224.00 on Dec 18th & 19th due to Holiday rates kicking in. With the AP rate those same rooms are $104.00 and $139.00. Something else I noticed is that for the weekend before, on Sat and Sun (Dec 12th and 13th), the rate is staying $104.00. They're not going up to weekend rate. This is pretax. Anyway (with tax) rate for that week for a room only at CSR is $1611.00, but with the AP rate it goes down to $1015.00. Again this is for three adults in the room, so this includes the extra $15.00/night for the third adult, so subtract another $120.00 if you don't have a third adult.

My POP dates are not included for this lovely code.
12/5 - 12/10. I wonder if other dates are....
*sigh*

Oh no!! :scared1:

I've been waiting to book a room discount for two Pop rooms for Dec 5 and Dec 6. (then we move to a dvc resort). I'll be checking with CRO shortly to see if I can use the AP code (is there a "code"?).

If not, maybe it'll work when/if this comes out for Disney Visa holders.

OK, so I just called CRO. Waited half hour to get thru, and then gave agent the dates & Pop, and he said great, do you want standard or preferred, then gave all names and ages, and he asked what we celebrating blah blah blah.

Then after over 10 minutes of questions and answers, he said there are no standard rooms available at any of the values for Dec 5 and 6. Wish I'd known that first thing into the conversation!

I just said I'd try back if/when the disney visa code comes out. Not sure what I'll do if I can't get a standard value at Pop. (would really rather have Pop over All Stars, just cuzz I love it there, plus the Pop Warner crowds will be at All Stars).

Oh wow! Nothing is available?

I priced out the AP rate for our Dec trip 12-19th. We already had a PIN for free dining in place, but I had to buy one day base tickets for all 5 of us. The difference in the cost of the free dining code with 1 day base tickets and the AP code with dining was only $71.00. I think I will stick with the FD PIN code, my 5, 1 day base tickets are worth more than the $71.00.

I'm so psyched! I was able to book Animal Kingdom Lodge for October 23-26 using the AP discount and saved $500.00. Thanks for the great information!

Have a magical day!:cheer2:

Just booked 4 nights at Pop, standard room, Dec 11th to Dec 15th.
$54.00, $60.75 with tax.
