Passes needed for Down Town Disney?

We arrive this Saturday but do not get our park hopper passes until Sunday with the special package we arranged. Can we catch a bus that night to DTD or will they not transport us as we will not have our passes? Also, are passes needed to enter DTD? I'm thinkig not. Thanks!

No, you don't need passes for DTD. About the busses, not sure, but I think if you show your Resort ID you should be fine

You don't need passes to get into DTD. The bus drivers also have never checked for resort ID's in the 25 plus trips we've made.
