passed my LPN boards

Hello,

I haven't been on in a really long time. This semester of school is horrible. I shouldn't even be on now but I couldn't resist.

I took my state boards for my LPN license last Monday and found out that I have passed. I am excited, but I am not sure if I will find a job in the field as I still need to work around my school schedule in the evenings. I am hoping something comes up, but LPN's are being phased out of the hospitals in this area.

Just wanted to share.

I have found that home care employers in the area require experience of at least 6 months. This may very well be an option after I can find that first job.

Congrats! I hope you find a job soon. I know around here it's easier to get into an LPN program because of LPN's being phased out, but alot of people go that route because it's hard to get into the RN program and then they bridge up to RN.

Good Luck. I'm going back to school and am interested in Dental Hygiene, so I have some schooling ahead of me. Along with boards to pass too.

Congrats and keep going for your RN. Alot of LPNs do the work we do but just don't paid the same and regret it in the end.

Congratulations!!!! I remember when I passed mine...than went for my RN withj a BA....that was 26 years ago...I dont practice anymore but still keep my licence active just incase....I loved nursing but hated the politics....

Congrats again we need all the nurses that we can get!!!! you should be proud !!!!

Congrats! That is so exciting. My sis is waiting to take her exams. Where she is (Long Island) there is great need for LPNs. Where I live (West Central Florida) there's also great need. She's thinking of moving south, but feels she has to have her RN to guarantee getting a job....
