Pass Porter's Disney Weddings???

I'm getting really excited for our Disney Wedding next year. I did a Google search for Disney Weddings and noticed a webpage called, Pass Porter's Disney Weddings. Apparently it is a electronic book that costs $7.95 that will give you helpful advice about having your wedding @ WDW. I was curious if any of you have bought this and if it was at all useful? If anyone wants me to e-mail their PDF that would be greatly appreciated, jpaulas22 @yahoo.com!! Thanks!!

Unfortunately, anyone who sends you the PDF will be violating the user agreement and copyright for the book - and I know, because I wrote it!

However, if you really can't afford $7.95, you can get the book for $4.95 by becoming a member of PassPorter's Club for one month, downloading it, and then cancelling your membership.

Hi Lurkyloo, again I have to thank you (and the other DisBrides) for all the great info I have gotten from these boards. I am a bit behind in terms of my computer (a Mac). From what I understand, I can pay $7.95, and get a copy of your book through a link? Do I then print it out on my printer, and if so, how many pages do I need? My daughter is getting married at the GF Beach on Oct. 22, 2009, and we are both interested in having all the info we can get.

I know I want it, I just am not sure how to get it! I see that I click on the link, and I assume I should have my credit card ready, but then what? Does it print on my printer, and if so, how many pages should I be ready to print? I want to be sure I have enough paper and/or ink!

Hi!

OK, when you click on the link, it takes you to a page where you can buy a PDF file of the book. You can then download the PDF to your computer and either read it on your computer, print it out yourself, or send it to a service to have it printed as a book.

However, I have to warn you, the book is 274 pages long, so if you print it at home you will need a LOT of paper.

I uploaded my file to the website www.lulu.com and had it printed and bound as a paperback book. One of the options is to print it as a black and white paperback at 5.5" x 8.5" - it's less than $7, plus the cost of shipping.

You can also send the file to FedEx-Kinkos (http://www.fedex.com/us/office/) and have them make it into a book, although I haven't done it so I don't have any tips.

I'll take pictures of the book tonight and upload them so you can see how it looks printed.

Thank you, Lurkyloo. My daughter is coming over tomorrow, so I will show her your response and ask her how she wants the book. She is much more tech savvy than me, so I'm sure she will know what to do. I appreciate all your help more that I can say!

Carrie's book is totally worth it! It is a must-read for every DFTW bride and those honeymooning at Disney. It is packed with so much information, it answered just about every question I've had and it's much faster (and less frustrating) than waiting for your planner to respond to your e-mails or phone calls. In 275 pages, Carrie covers every type of Disney wedding - Escape, Wishes, Couture, and Cruise, in great detail as well as the most current information and prices. She also has excellent sections on honeymoons, special events such as dessert parties, as well as timelines, interactive planning worksheets and ways to save money, and gorgeous photos throughout. I would have glady paid much more for the book.

Yes - that's a good idea! There's a link to a copyright release form on page 202. You can download the form and show it to them when you go into the store.

The file you have is in color, so all you need to do is select color printing from LuLu/Kinko's/wherever, instead of black and white. Last time I priced it on LuLu, it was $60 though.

OH - that turned out nice - I may just getmine made into a book now...I wasn't going to bother but it's worth it fromthelooks of it.

To throw in my 2 cents as well if you are not yet convinced - this book is awesome! I don't think there is any other way to get this much info for under $8!
