for November 2005 and I'm hyperventilating! That $800 just seemed like a big chunk o' cash for something that is soooo far away! DDs are talking about it like we're going in 3 months instead of 18 and DH has decided I have lost my mind and there is no hope for me now. I just have to get with it and come up with the balance now (doesn't seem so bad when I "forget" about the $800 I already sent in!) Breathe in....and out, breathe in....and out...

LOL.... & in & out!!! How about open up a seperate savings account &put a little in each week, then when it comes time to pay again it will be easy!! Plus you'll gain interest in the mean time!! GOOD LUCK!!!! Keep breathing!!!!!!:faint:

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Boy, I've been there!!

Just remember, you will survive!!!! And what a reward you will have later!::yes::

When you are sailing away :boat: , it will all seem like a bad  ,scary:scared1: nightmare from so long ago. You will be on :cloud9: !!!!

Once you get over the initial deposit things seem much brighter. Been there done that twice now. You have plenty of time to pay off the balance having booked so far out and just a hint, tax return time is a great way to pay off or at least make a huge dent in the balance.:bounce: :Pinkbounc Is it November yet?

Thanks for the support! We're self-employed, though, so tax time is an UGLY thing for us! No refunds for our cruse!

CONGRATULATIONS GRAYGABLES!

The 18 months will go by quickly and your cruise will be here before you know it! Just figure out between now and 16 months from now (when your balance is due) how much per month or per week you need to save. If you start putting it aside now, it will add up.

I have used my Lamaza breathing techniques waaaayyyy more for Disney budgets than I ever did in 3 deliveries!!!!! LOL!!!!

ITS WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!
HAVE FUN!

Being a finance analyst, think of it this way, ammortized over 18 months, $800 is a paltry $44.45! You can afford that, right? :p Now, we just need to see what the balance is like ammortized :teeth:

This si the same dillema I am having over whether to consider DVC vs paying for vacatio0ns as they come. I think it will be about the same amount, the question is do I want to put some of it down early or drag the actual cash flow out over the next couple years. The final DCL price should now seem a bit smaller!!

Good job, and Good Luck!! :sunny:

graygables,

Just one question.... That paper bag you requested to be passed... Is that to prevent hyperventilating or did you want it to pass to take up a collection to pay the balance of your cruise? Ha Ha Ha!!:hyper:

Hey...That'll work, too! Thanks for the idea!

Actually, my 8yo asked the other day of we could do a "fund raiser with candy bars"! :hyper: I asked her what we would tell people we were raising money for and she said, "To send a needy family on a cruise, of course!" I just about fell over! Future conman, I guess! :smooth:
