Party question-Not RSVP related LOL

Do you enjoy parties that you host? I never seem to. Forget all the preparation, but at the actual event, do you just socialize and enjoy the party? Or are you so busy "playing host/hostess" that you miss everything?

I do enjoy them. Mostly because DH kind of takes over the host role in regards to cooking and cleaning. I prepare everything and once I put out the food, I have a few drinks and then everyone is on their own

I find hosting very stressful. Or I should say the time preparing, not the actual party. Once the party is going, I'm able to relax. And it always makes me glad to see friends enjoying the food/drinks I've prepared.

A very good friend of mine is the total opposite of me. She doesn't really stress or plan at all. Yet she is able to still pull off a great get together and stay relaxed! I told her she should write a book about it. I think her secret is that she recruits us ladies of the party to help her finish the preparation. She's a smart cookie!

I'm definitely a massive planner and like to have everything ready. Then I can relax!
