Party of two at BOG for breakfast... where only one person eats?

I have a breakfast reservation next month for BOG, and the reservation starts about fifteen minutes before RD, where the entire party consists of me, and my eleven year old son.

How rude/inappropriate would it be to go to BOG and just order one meal? I have a sensitive stomach first thing in the morning and don't really want to risk spending the morning sick.

Thoughts?

You'll be fine. BoG is a QS for breakfast, and you can order as much or as little as you like. Enjoy!

99.99% of people there won't pay any attention whatsoever to you as they will be getting their own drinks and eating etc. Dont worry it will be fine and not that unusual. I also have that gene by the way

Totally fine. Just 2 weeks ago I had a PPO at BOG for myself and my 9yo ds. I am not a breakfast eater so I preordered one meal and we split it. Really I had 2 bites of eggs and he devoured the rest.

Only half of my party ate when we went for breakfast. There was so much going on in there that nobody paid any attention to us.

Thanks so much! I have a weird gene where I worry about what others think of me. :guilty:

You will be fine. Last December wer split throw meals between three of us. My DDIL cannot eat much, so it was plenty of food, and no one cared what we ate. The pastry plate was just enough, so none was wasted, And we were not looking for one more pieces.

My daughter and I did that last November. Neither of us are big eaters first thing in the morning. We did a pre-park BOG and ordered one breakfast and split it. It was still too much food. But it was wonderful to see the park with few people in it and it was the only reservation I could get for BOG. Well worth the trip.

My tween DS and I split our BOG breakfast, no one batted an eye. :) It was a wise decision - two breakfasts would have been waaay too much food.

We want to do this too. How do you handle it? Do you preorder only one meal and they just let everyone in or everyone walks in and only one or two of us goes in the line? Needless to say, any time saved is better for us! Did everyone purchase a separate drink? I also have the gene but don't think I'll like the food even enough to order a cupcake each.

I never preorder but you could. If you want more beverages you would need to order and pay for them. The meal only comes with the one.

You need to make the ADR for the number of people who will be in the restaurant. You can preorder whatever you want and how much you want. If each person is going to want a drink, you need to preorder that number of drinks.

True. I suppose if I want to use 1-2 credits but the other drinks will be OOP then I'll have to go through the line. I guess a better question for me would have been, how long is the line in the mornings? The lunch crowd is large!!

If you preorder you still get a chance to review order and make changes when you go to cash register to pay and/or use meal credits. You could add the drinks then and pay for them.

I think this is why we are hearing rumors of a "plate" charge coming. There's nothing wrong with it, but Disney can change the rules in the future

That's what I figured -- I'd be okay paying that, too. I don't want to be unreasonable... I just can't eat a whole lot of food first thing in the morning unless it's plain.

It is not an issue right now, so don't worry that you are not following the rules. Disney allows this.

I have heard that the beast comes in and sits on you, force feeding you a master's cupcake. True story!

I'm the same way; I can't eat much early in the morning (and then go on a ride!). DD and I have shared one meal twice there, and still left most of the pastries uneaten (first time we took them along with us, but last trip we just left them). I do wish they would do something different with the pastries; most tables had many of them uneaten. Such a waste this is!

No one cared that we ordered one meal.
