Party of Six Private Table?

We are sailing as a party of six—any need to call to request a private table or can I assume we will be seated alone? I already used the “special request” space online to specify a severe gluten allergy, so I would need to make a call to request a private table.

I think the table sizes are 4/6/8. We were a party of 6 and were seated at our own table without any requests.

Take nothing for granted. better to put the request in and at least know the private table was requested.

I believe you can put in a request for a private table online, even if you have an allergy. I know we have done it in the past, even when my son has sailed with us and I note the peanut allergy. If I remember right they are in 2 separate sections. I'm trying to go through to do it now but I'm getting the "We're Working On It" error.

***Edited to add, I just checked and the table request is in fact its own option. Under Special Requests, click on Table Preference, and then you get 5 options to choose from, 1 being a private table.

I've once been seated at a table for 10 - 5 couples - but I rarely see those. We weren't travelling together. We were once 4 couples travelling together and were at a table for 8. While it's unlikely that a party of 6 travelling together would be seated with another couple and seven travelling together would be seated with one other person, it doesn't hurt to request a table for only your travelling party just to be certain.

I just got off the Fantasy on Saturday. I was a solo traveler. Totally expected to be put with other solo travelers. However I had a 4 top to myself. I didn’t request private dining. In my servers tables there was a six seater with 2 couples each with a toddler girl that were seated together. Another table was 8 seater. I wasn’t close enough to that table to figure out the makeup. In Royal Court, my neighbor table with a different server was 3 ladies traveling together at a 4 top. I don’t think they really would stick someone in as seat filler with a larger group.

Yeah I doubt a solo traveler would enjoy an after 8pm dinner with 3 children!

We have only been seated with others, not in our party, twice. Both times it was only 2 of us. Since then, we've always had a private table. Our cruise party sizes have been: 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, and 11 (2 and 3 twice).

I’ve got a family of 6 and we’ve done 7 cruises never been sat with anyone else and never requested a private table. Unlikely to be an issue but never hurts to put in a request.

Twice we were a party of 5 and both times we had a 6 top, with no additional people (person).

We were a group of 3 that was sat with a family of 5. Amazily, it was the family of one of my daughter's friends that she made on previously NYE cruises.

We’ve cruised twice as a party of 7 with our own table and smaller parties seemed to have their own tables too.
