Today we are off to Epcot after two false starts! I lost my fanny pack
and after searching our 3 rooms and the rental car remember that I had it at breakfast in the Pepper Market. I call and one of the managers... Adrian I think, says they just put it in the safe.
Phew!! I am relieved to find all my cash, credit cards and park pass safely inside. DDF forgets his park pass so we return to pick it up and arrive at Epcot about 9:30am. The park is not crowded and we are able to ride Test Track and then those who have not been sick on Mission Space... me,DS,DSGFand DDF make 2 successful trips to Mars and back! We meet Space Mickey for photos on the way into MS. After a quick Journey into our Imaginations we participate in Ellen's Energy Adventure for the first time. DH and I, being Jeopardy and Ellen fans, enjoy this one. The "kids" find it pretty boring and one of them falls asleep!Next it's off to Ice Station Cool.
It was fun tasting the different drinks
..each of us finds one we really like...but no one picks the beverly!
The 'kids" explore The Living Seas and DD,DH and I line up for about 20 minutes for Turtle Talk, a cute show for those with small kids but not really worth the wait for an adult party. We postpone our CP PS until 8:40 as we are late returning to CSR for our rest stop.
There are lots of character photos taken at CP and the "kids" really enjoy this meal.DH and I find it a bit untidy around the Buffet area as it is late in the evening and it seems crowded and noisy. We step out on the veranda here and catch a few minutes of Wishes..great view.
After Dinner we exit to find...more rain.
The park is crowded until 10 and no fast pass is running.Space Mountain has a long wait time so we head to Thunder Mountain and wait for about half an hour. We take a Pirate Cruise to the Carribean .Then EMH begins in the rain and the crowds are gone!!.We ride Thunder Mountain twice in a row(still pouring and DDF says this one should be called Splash Mountain too!)
and are allowed to stay on Splash Mountain twice in a row...of course it stops with us outside for about 10 minutes in the pouring rain and we amuse ourselves by singing all the songs from the ride which we are starting to know by now! The CM from Aladdin begs us to ride (no one is riding due to the rain) but we are on a mission. We ride all of the rides in Fantasyland which are now walk ons and finish our evening with our family favourite - Mickey's Philharmagic.
By now it is one o'clock... not bad for the two 50+s in our group. We head for the buses but our magical evening is not yet over!! As we walk through the castle we are accosted by many characters wanting us to take their pictures... Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Chip and Dale, Meeko, and several more. It was 1 in the morning and the characters were so friendly
and begging us to stay. It was amazing!! A real treat, especially for DSGF who was very interested in them. No one was taking Meekos picture and he kept jumping in front of me until I took a couple of pictures of him!! very funny! This was a great trip for us with the characters, we really got to know their personalities. We are on a practically empty bus back to CSR and finally get to sleep around 2 a.m. A fabulous day!
