This will be my first time at Disney World, and dh and I will be bringing our 3 kids along - 18, 7, 4. I've decided on POR since this is one resort which will accomodate occupancy of 5 to a room. However, when I tried to do a booking, the system said that the number of persons have exceeded the maximum occupancy of the room. Huh?

Problem is, I cannot book 2 rooms. The two younger ones are used to sharing the King bed with dh and I at home, while our 18 dd share a room with my sister-in-law as she dare not sleep alone. We are "petite", especially the 3 kids  So I was thinking to just get one room, and maybe hire a roll-out bed as well. Is that doable?:headache:

oh, forget about this thread.
I have decided to book the All Star Family Suites instead!

Before you do, take a look at the Contemporary.

For us, the difference in price wasn't all that earth-shattering. And, like you, we have a 4 year old. The idea of being able to wisk a tired child back to the pool or for a nap mid day convinced us that we wanted to be on the monorail.

I did ask for a quote for Contemporary, but the cost is  :sad2:

Just to answer your question, in case anyone else needs to know:

Only the Alligator Bayou rooms at POR can sleep five, and that is with a trundle bed. Your family should be fine - the trundle is recommended for kids under ten. You might have to call to make the reservation since you need to be in a specific room type, but they do exist!

The family suites would probably be great for your family, though! Have a great trip!

I'm with you, the difference in price was earth shattering for Contemporary. We did POR in 2005 and 2006 and ASMU suites last year and I highly recommend the suites. It was worth the additional money.
