On Oct. 24th I will be calling with the rest of the world to get ARD's for Easter week. I have heard that parties of 2 can find it hard to get reservations but they can call back and get a table for 3 without a problem. Is it hard to get ARD's for odd number tables? We are on the dining plan and want to make a number of character reservations.

We are new to the ADR program and am even more stressed about the new system delays.

Any suggetions of how to get the reservations we want during a peak season for a party of 5 :grouphug: would be appreciated.

Thanks

Honestly, I have no idea what you'll experience considering the popularity of that week. I can only offer you my experience of booking 5 person tables during the free dining promotions for the past two years.

It's totally doable. I was able to get pretty much everything I wanted, around the time I wanted. I don't know if the new system will affect you negatively, but I just wanted to give you some hope, it can be done.

Also, I scored a great ressie just today for something for just a little over a week away for 5 people at a signature restaurant, and almost every single restaurant is booked solid or had unreasonable (to my family) times. So there is hope if you're persistent.

I have booked for a party of 5 before with no problem...good luck with that. I am going to WDW in mid February. I had October 24th highlighter on my calendar to make my reservations. However, Friday night I read a post that people had been making reservations for February, even though the date to make reservations was moved to October 24th due to the system upgrade. I called WDW right away and got all of my reservations for President's week. I am not sure what dates they are booking through now, but I would check with them often, the system upgrade seems to be complete. I was able to get ADR's for all of the restaurants, not just CRT and Chef Mickey's.

Good luck...I hope you get everything you want.

Wow that woudl be great if the system was ready. My 180 date is Oct. 8th.

Thanks for the tip.:goodvibes

I did a little bit of research after my last post...apparently on 8/30 the system started to be able to book ADR's up until 2-22-09. There was no major announcement, though another forum had an update about it. I would just keep be aware that they may be booking sooner than October 24th... I hope you get everything you want.
