We're going to WDW in August with friends. We want to do 2 dinners together - Liberty Tree and Via Napoli. What are the chances of getting seating together at these 2 places? My 180 window is this Saturday.

Thanks! :dumbo:

That's a big group! Maybe you should call (407) WDW-DINE now, before your 180 mark, and ask if there's a special procedure for such a large reservation so you know in advance. I'm sure some of the experts on the boards can answer this, though- where are you big group experts?

I'm definitely not an expert, but I have recently encountered this situation. My family wanted to do a big birthday celebration for my dad and aunt. I called disney dining and asked if they could accommodate 21 of us at one table at 'Ohana. They told us they could. Whether or not this will really happen, I'm not entirely sure. I guess we will see when we get there!:rolleyes1

But, I would recommend calling disney dining and asking them if they could accommodate at those restaurants. 12 is definitely less than 21, so maybe you will be lucky! If I remember correctly, Via Napoli has some fairly large tables, so it might not be a problem!

I have been in all the rooms at Liberty Tree and most of their tables are round and would not seat 12. I am guessing you could get seates in the same area but I doubt at 1 table.

I have put together 2 large party vacations for us; one was a group of 11 and one was a group of 17. WDW tries very hard to accommodate large groups. We have sat together at most places and the few that couldn't, did seat us at adjoining tables.

At Via Napoli, there is the communal dining table that is long and seats a ton of people. I would imagine that is where they would seat you.

I agree with PP, at LTT, you will more than likely be seated at 2 round tables for 6 that are next to one another.

You can make your reservations online for groups up to 14. No need to call the special dining line.

The key item is to make your reservation for within 15-20 minutes of the restaurant's opening time. They will not hold tables open d8uring peak hours to seat a large group together.

I just booked Tuesday 2 meals for a party of 13. I had called before to talk to a CM about a couple of restaurants, and she told me to you're more likely to sit together if you go early and go to restaurants that sit more people. Most of the ones she mentioned to me were buffets. We ended up doing Chef Mickey's for breakfast, and Crystal Palace for a dinner. We also have some picky eaters that knocked out a few restaurants. Hope this helps!

Every other year I plan a vacation with my parents and sister's family which brings us up to 11. For 7 days straight I am calling at 7AM on the dot. Nothing could be booked online and some of the signatures require a direct phone call to the restaurant.

Via Napoli probably won't be a problem although it is quite popular. I would definately recomend calling at 7AM 180 days out. With Tuto closed it is harder to get into. They had a table for 11 of us. We shared pizza's so it was a bit chaotic.

I agree with PP's, LTT may not accomadate you at the same table. CP is a hectic place so I wouldn't reccomend it. The Plaza might but their menu is a bit limited. If you can swing it, one of our MK days we do The Grand Floridian Cafe. This is an overlooked gem. Since we arrive at the park very early by the time the crowds hit at mid-day I am ready for a break. The family likes the boat launch over and then the monorail back. They almost always have room for walk in's but I definately would make a reservation.

Also, be warned, almost every restaurant gave me the "we may not be able to seat you together" spiel but all of them did. I did the LTT but only with 8. My parents weren't up for MK that day and the DH wasn't there.

we toured a family of 29 the week after christmas so it was 32 of us, we were on the deluxe dp so i was in charge of making the adrs and i did it. you need to make the 180 days out, and they would sit us at different tables but beside each other. also, sometimes we encountered a problem with our tickets and so just make sure they have that straight ahead of timez(the families that are on 1 ticket to sit together when you order).
