Has anyone stayed in the spa tower at the belligio? I know it is not a full view of the fountains, can it still be seen or is it worth it getting the full lake view?
TI, last time I tried to save money at another hotel I was so dissapointed, this time I don't want to be with a good view

If you want to see the fountains, you really want to be in a fountain view room. Though a fountain view room from Paris or Aladdin are just as great, though you can't get the music piped from your TV like at Bellagio--but it'll save you money! LOL

The Tower Rooms are gorgeous. They are a bit bigger than the standard rooms and the decor I prefer vastly. So you may sacrifice the view, but you will get a great room.

Note that there is big construction going on right next to Bellagio right now, right next to the tower there. So for noise and nasty view of the construction site, you may want to pay more to get a view room in the main building anyway.

I was married in Vegas at the Bellagio, and go at least once a year, though I stay in different places depending on where I get the best deals.

Thanks Clotho, I might just stay in the spa towers, I won't be in my room much anyways. Can the fountains be seen if I look crosseyed at them?:rotfl:

From the partial view rooms, you can see the fountains as in "Oh, there are the fountains. That's nice". From the lake view rooms, you can watch and enjoy the fountain shows. Keep in mind that as nice as the shows are from the rooms, nothing compares to the feel of watching them up close from the street, where you don't just watch the show, you experiencel it.

The following is just my opinion - tons of people have wonderful stays at the Bellagio without watching a fountain show from the room. But personally, I wouldn't stay at the Bellagio without a lake view room unless I got a super deal. Take away the fountains and the Bellagio is just one of many very nice hotels in Vegas. For the money, I'd rather stay elsewhere. Or stay someplace cheaper and visit the Bellagio - maybe spend the savings on a fantastic meal at Bellagio's Circo with the fountains in the background. But with the fountains (and Eiffel Tower behind) a Bellagio lake-view room is pretty special.

We stayed at the Bellagio last July and had a full lake view and it was worth it :)

i gave in and called and got the lakeview room...costing me $36.00 more for two nights, I am not in my room much but hell I am worth it. Last year I stayed at the hotel at Mandalay bay and the room was gorgeous but I was overlooking rooftops plus I wasn't even close to the middle. I rather pay more to enjoy where I am going to be. I said I didn't like Vegas but alot of things were in play, I didn't feel right, I was not near the middle...with that said I am glad and excited I am going again

I have to admit, I actually like the Venetian a bit more than the Bellagio. But, that being said, I LOVED the view of the lake from our room. EVERY time I was in the room during a show, I pulled the chair up to the window and just sat and watched. MY DH laughed at me, but I thought it was beautiful!

Also, there is a bar with seats outside to watch the show from - very relaxing! ;)
