Are the partial hook up sites (loop 1500 or 2000) just as nice as the others. I dont see us needing all the extras. Water and electric would be just fine - and we can use our regular gray water jugs for waste water. We do not have a porti potty so a sewer is really not needed.

I think that they are just as nice, just smaller.

They are as nice, the paved area is just smaller, and the tent/sandy area bigger.

There is a difference between 1500 and 2000.

1500 is an older loop and the sand pads are bigger than the full hookup loops, but 2000 loop has even bigger sand pads than 1500.

1500 is right across the street from Meadows Trading Post, Pool, Bike Barn, and Campfire area. It is a Great location. There are only about 36 sites in 1500 and it only has one comfort station, but it is rarely crowded and not too far of a walk from any site.

2000 is a huge loop with at least 60-plus sites. 2000 has two comfort stations, but it is quite possible to be a good hike from a comfort station. It is also a bit more isolated, and the bus route that 2000 is on does not go by the Meadows area, so you need to take two buses to get to the campfire, Meadows Trading Post, Bike Barn, or pool, or figure out where to get off to walk to Meadows. Having a golf cart or bicycles will alleviate that.

We stayed in 2000 in May and loved it. We have a popup so partial was all we needed. Lots of tent campers, nice sites, never felt crowded...

We were a bit more isolated, but we brought our bikes and went everywhere on them. I think it would be difficult to be in 2000 without a bike or golf cart, although I seem to recall a bus route that came along the backside of loop 2000.

I have a question, though. For those of you that have stayed in 1500, did it get noisy? Could you hear the movie from your campsite? I'm just curious if that would be a problem if I was trying to put my preschooler to bed and the movie was too loud. Thanks for any insight...

No, you can barely hear the movie. It is not loud at all. I like 1500 due to the close proximity to everything and the fact that it is about midway in the campground. It is about equal distance on my ECV to Outpost bus stop or Settlement area. I am also pretty much guaranteed to be close to the comfort station in 1500.

However, I have changed to a larger tent for this year, and some of the pads in 1500 are a bit smaller, so I may switch to 2000 this year to ensure I have a really big sand pad for my tent and rain shelter. (I have also gotten a portable commode, and privacy tent for it, so my need to be close to the comfort station has gone away).

Just any FYI, the noise from MK's fireworks will be louder than the movie. Also, the Christmas finale for Epcot's Illuminations rattled my tent walls last December.

Carol, if you switch to the 2000 loop, you'll be closer to Randy and all that monorail noise. :wave2:

Hi!

We stayed in the 2000 loop, 2065 was our number! And it was right next to comfort station and next to bus stop.
