To add to my dilemma---because of the different room discount percentages, AKL is actually $300 less than WL.

Oh man, how can you not take the deal?!?!

I mean seriously, that's such a gorgeous resort also and it's deluxe and at a great rate!!

The CSR thread has info on the first page, but they arent as chatty a group and sometimes takes a while to answer questions. I just started looking at the AKL thread and it seems like all chatting and no information.
Is it wrong to pick a resort based on the dis thread???

Yeah, that thread drives me nuts. I Have to unsubscribe after every question. But the resort is so freakin' awesome. The only reason we're not there the whole time is location. I just can't give up that walk to Epcot.

Now, I have never stayed or visited AKL, but all I have heard is that "it's so far away from everything." On a positive note, it looks beautiful and I heard Boma is great. However, I think you should keep CSR or choose WL because YOU CAN TAKE A BOAT TO MK! Come on, how awesome is that?!

I know that jackets aren't that useful here, but this is so cute. AND it would be perfect for the evenings while at Disney. sigh sigh sigh. Hmm, here b'day is in 2 weeks. hmm hmm

I havent even seen it!! I wish that thread was better so I could get good pictures and a feel for the layout.

I agree the boat is pretty awesome!! We will have a car though, so not worried about the distance.

DH stayed at VWL years ago with friends who own DVC. So he is not as excited about WL as I am. But he did say the boat was nice and he didnt like that you had to walk to the main building for breakfast. I don't think we have ever discussed AKL. If I asked him, he would say POP since it is still the cheapest.

Jumping in here we are headed back for Christmas on 12/12 - 12/27 hitting all the Disney parks (annual pass holders) plus Universal/Islands of Adventure (50% discount due to incident last year...going twice) Busch Gardens & Discovery Cove (2nd time). We have done this trip for the past two years as a family Christmas present and look forward to it.

DH and I set up a new checking account last month so that we could save up to pay off our Disney vacation balance. I deposited the last of it yesterday and sent over the debit/credit card info to our TA. They received the info and we thought that everything was well and good. Our vacation was being paid off. No such luck .

Our TA submitted it to Disney and it was declined 3 times! There's more than enough in the account to cover the balance so I called the bank. Come to find out that b/c we only opened the account last month, we have a POS limit of $200 during the first month. It would not be increased until the 15th, which is our 45 day mark ! I explained our situation and the rep talked to her supervisor to see what could be done. THANKFULLY, as a courtesy, he increased our limit so that we could pay off our balance . I told the rep that she just saved our vacation!

I immediately called our TA and explained why it wasn't going through and that I cleared everything up with the bank. She could try it again and this time it should go through. Got a call a few minutes later that it did and we are now OFFICIALLY PAID IN FULL We are now 49 days away from "The Happiest Place on Earth"!
