A new day dawns and it is now Sunday. Two of us made it to church yesterday, so I must get the rest of us over there today. Services are from 7:30 to 6PM and I scratch the 7:30 am one off my mental list! Once again, I opt to stay in the room and baby my two babies while sending DH off with DD9 to play at MGM.
I figure we can meet them after church for lunch. Well, it just doesn't work that way! Lunchtime comes and goes and I phone DH to let him know we will meet him for Dinner since we have early PS's at Prime Time Cafe for 4:20 PM. (I had wanted PS's for 5 to 6 but when I reserved our time it was either 4:20 or 8:20 pm! My plan is now to meet for dinner then make it to church by 6 PM. This was another "looks good on paper" scheme which did not pan out! When we meet at the PT Cafe, DH and DD9 were waiting outside and had not checked in yet...
So, I get in line and when it's my turn... "I'm sorry ma'am... but we don't have a PS at 4:20 or for that matter any time this evening for the ***'s family!" WHAAAT? Of course I had left the confirmation number on the table by the phone.. Oh dear! Luckily we had the BEST CM in the world... Susan... who made sure she got us in! It was perfect really... we ended up being seated at 5 PM which is when we wanted to eat anyway! YAY!
This was the first time we had been out as the WHOLE family and it felt good. DD15 of course was happy (I use that term loosely) as long as she was plugged into her Sony Walkman! I was glad to be in PT Cafe since they really know how to put a smile on your face. It was our misfortune that we got a CM who seemed to be a trainee. I can only guess this since the tables all around us were having fun interactions and being sent to the corner by their server! We also had two other familes, both a group of 5 who were served their meals before us. In fact, the family to our right (who came in 5 minutes after us) was finished with their meal and checking out as we were being served our entrees! This would not have bothered me if our server had been more fun!
DD9 ordered some kind of concoction that had a glowing ice cube in it! These are SOO cool! She and I both enjoyed our meals, where DH and DD15 did not like theirs at all.
I didn't make it to church since it took so long to be served and get our check. I made it a point to ask for "Uncle Dave" aka Delswife's trip reports... but he was off that day! NEXT TIME, we'll call ahead and make sure he's there!
Love Ya,
Mean IT!
