ISN'T IT EASIER TO STAY AT THE SAME PARK ALL DAY, THAN TO WASTE TIME GETTING ON A BUS AND TRAVELLING TO ANOTHER PARK? The reason I'm asking is because several books I've read say to go to the Early Entry Park and then leave around lunch (because of the crowds). I've never been, so I'm depending on your expertise. Please help!!

GOING APRIL 30-MAY 6, 2005!!

I would agree that it would not be necessary to park hop in early May. When we went a few years back it was really quiet at the parks.

Well I think what you're missing are two things: 1) Most of the guidebooks advocate going back to your hotel for a rest or swim. So that's what you'd be doing when you left the EE park. Once you've left it makes no difference whether you return to the same park or not from a transportation time stand point. 2) The EE park tends to be the most crowded of the 4 parks and gets pretty crowded around lunch time. So by getting to the EE park early and then switching to a less crowded park, you minimize your wait time. I've never been to WDW during the time frame you're going, so soupy may very well be correct about the waits. I know when I go in September (also a very low crowd time) I still avoid the EE park as I don't get there in time for EE. I also park hop because usually not all the parks are open late so I hop to a park that's open later. Or if Spectro is only offered on a Saturday, I don't want to spend all day on a Saturday in MK when it'll be packed. So I'll go somewhere else and then just show up in the evening. Everyone has different strategies. Just pick the one that works best for you.

1. I stay all day, no breaks (YOU SNOOZ, YOU LOOSE).

2. Hop, to get more bang for your buck. (If a park closes
and you got time hop to another)

3. Make the most of your time.

We usually take it easy and leave in the afternoon for a swim or nap, if we are doing the parks all day. Then it's not a big deal about returning to the same park or another. Very few people can go 5 days in a row, nonstop, 8am-9pm without a break.

We like to park hop, BUT, we now just hit the highlights of each park, so for many, we don't have a whole days worth of stuff to accomplish anyways. I think the monorail is the best way to get from place to place, and is fun to boot! So we usually do that Or the boat from MGM to Epcot, which is fun too. =)

Good luck!
