Parks: Ride "temporarily closed" in MDE

Hi Everyone!
Counting down to our trip in late September - I check MDE every now and then to look at wait times across all 4 parks. I just checked the app a few minutes ago and found 5+ attractions in every park with the "star" indicator (meaning temporarily closed) - is it safe to assume that's just due to a cleaning cycle?

Most likely due to the strong storms moving through the area. When in doubt, assume it’s weather, especially if the rides are outdoor rides.

No. Its most likely do to a thunderstorm moving through the area. We live right next to the parks and the storm was sudden and then quickly gone.

we had a big storm come through. They don't show "closed" for cleaning

Yesterday around 1pm CST I checked the app to look at wait times and the only ones that showed up were AK. I tried everything to see if I could bring up others - filtering all but AK and everything. I figure it was a fluke

You'll know it is a cleaning cycle when the wait time jumps significantly.

When we were at HS, ToT was 13 minute wait right until we got to the corner to turn to get in the queue. The wait time jumped to 45 minutes. We asked why the huge increase in wait time and CM's told us, cleaning. Makes sense. If you watch the app, you will see the spikes.

thanks so much everyone! trying to understand the "patterns" prior to the trip and you guys are so helpful!
Based on feedback, today was certainly due to the T-Storm... 4-5 "closed" in every park when I normally see maybe 1 or 2 max.
Great tip on the wait time "jump".

Come on September 19! Excited to be back in "the bubble" of Magic!

Were they outdoor attractions?
If so likely closed due to weather.
