Ocean >>> Does it have to do with the anniversary of the writing or adoption of our national anthem?
ksdave >>> is it when they sing "America, The Beautiful"?
B'rer Karen >>> Would it be during a flag raising or lowering for the day?
Those are all good guesses. But the answer isn't nearly as deep as those guesses. It's nothing to do with the flag. Nothing to do with God or country. Nothing to do with a particular song.
I fear I've sent everyone on a wild goose chase! [No, it has nothing to do with gooses.] I hope you don't all start picturing me with shifty eyes!!! [No, it has nothing to do with eyes.]
So, here's another hint. Of those 3 guesses shown above, the one about the flag raising is the closest of any. But that's somewhat of a stretch. It's the closest guess *only* because of the frequency.
There was also one more hint in my previous message that wasn't labeled as a hint. It's never a split choir, but always a double choir. Hmm-m-m ... this deep thinkin's making my hair change color ... again! But I guess that's better than fallin' out.
Oh ... plop this message in a CC of your choosin' ... and you'll find the answer sittin' right there in that CC.

myself >> plop this message in a CC of your choosin' ... and you'll find the answer sittin' right there in that CC.
That statement means the answer is in that previous message.:jester:

:sunny: Good Sunday morning folks

A putter AAQ to Jwill ... yes you find the mouse trap on the 6th hole of the Magnolia Golf Course.

Jwill, how about we move the CC over to ESPN since the Eagles are on at 3 p.m. We gotta get a great spot for this game:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Welcome home KSDave:wave: We saved you an emu leg and some Dole Whiparitas;)

Here is a weekend softball to keep us honest;)

How many acres do the following parks occupy:

Magic Kingdom
EPCOT
Disney-MGM Studios

Good morning all, breakfast is served. It is quite a bit late this morning.

Disneyjen: Moving the cc to the Espn club is a must today. I am not sure if we can use chalk there so I have brought my trusty masking tape ( handy for taping straws together -wdwwds ) to mark our our circle. I can only imaginge what it is going to be like in Philadelphia today.

Acerage:
Magic Kingdom: 100/107 two sources, two different numbers.
Epcot: 260/300 same as above.
Mgm Studios: 154?

Polk: Is it Flag raising and Flag retreat?

Sounds like Polk is headed for a Shacky. The only guess I have left is that there are actually two choirs that alternate performances. At the end of the day, they both come out on the last song.
If this isn't it, I say "uncle".

Jen;
Thanks for the welcome back. I'm hoping I can be around a little more, but we'll have to see what work and school throw at me.

By the way, my next trip down to FL is coming up. We plan to hit DTD on the way back to the airport. I have noticed quite a few "outside the parks" questions lately. Does this mean I can stump you all with DTD questions when I get back???

Well I'd imagine that the same group of people can't sing all day everyday, so I'm going to guess that when it's "shift change" time, the outgoing group and the incoming group sing together for one song.

A deed AAQ to Jwill ... my sources say 107 acres for MK, 300 for EPCOT and 154 for MGM. Glad you have the trusty masking tape ... we may need to use it for other things like keeping all those Florida folks quiet  :p :jester: :p

Dave we have had one or two DTD questions with no visits or warning from the mods ... or the dreaded PG Semantics Police:jester:

Polk do they sing the Eagles Fight Song ... "Fly Eagles Fly, on the road to victory..." :smooth:

DisneyJen >>> do they sing the Eagles Fight Song ... "Fly Eagles Fly, on the road to victory..."
Well, I'm sure they *could* ... but I don't seem to recall that particular piece wafting among the rafters. :o
ksdave >>> Sounds like Polk is headed for a Shacky. The only guess I have left is that there are actually two choirs that alternate performances. At the end of the day, they both come out on the last song.
No, I shouldn't have been considered for a Shacky for this one. It just wouldn't feel right. That's why I started giving those deep hints. The 2-choir idea was certainly on the right track. But they didn't/don't alternate performances. Read on ...
B'rer Karen >>> Well I'd imagine that the same group of people can't sing all day everyday, so I'm going to guess that when it's "shift change" time, the outgoing group and the incoming group sing together for one song.
EUREKA!! That's it! "Shift Change"!! The incoming group makes a surprise entrance by stepping up to the railing at a critical moment in the song and taking over the song. Then the 2 groups join back together to finish the song. Makes for a thrilling ending to a superb performance!!
Unfortunately, it doesn't occur as often as it used to. There were apparently some cutbacks, leaving a shift change out of the question. There are fewer performance of Voice Of Liberty each day now. In fact, you'd better check your guide to see which days they're performing. We almost missed them last trip ... and they're what we consider our number 1 "don't miss" attraction in all of WDW! [Be sure to sit at the edge of the circle, as the suggest.]
Anyway, I digressed [as I'm wont to do]. A sleuthy, smooth as silk, vocaleasy AAQ to Bre'r Karen!!
BTW, I'm afraid I was unwillingly initiated into the WDWWDS last trip. I unwittingly stared at one of the long-necked dinosaurs on my left while trolling thru Universe of Energy. He spat right in my face!! [I'd almost rather have taken a swig from IASW!] Are there people sitting there deciding when to spit? Or was I just "lucky"?:teeth:

Good afternoon folks..

B-U-C-C-A-N-E-E-R-S GO BUCS!!!!!!!!!

Whew, do I feel better!! Now that I've gotten that out of my system, I'm going to make sure that I sit real close to DisneyJen so I can yell in her ear every time the Bucs score, which will be a lot!! And the ESPN Club is a great idea guys, no matter who wins (Go Bucs!) we'll still have fun!

Here's an appropriate question...

In the Pirates of the Carribean, there is one pirate that is obviously of a different nationality as most of the other pirates. Where is he, and what nationality is he?

Mikelly1221 >>> In the Pirates of the Carribean, there is one pirate that is obviously of a different nationality as most of the other pirates. Where is he, and what nationality is he?
Would that be that really skinny guy steering the boat? Not sure where he's from, but they don't have much to eat there!

YoHo YoHo-the Bucs are goin' to the Super Bowl!!!

Sorry, but I digress...nope not the guy driving the boat! Cute answer though, Polk!

Wow...Bucs and Raiders in the Super Bowl!! Should be quite a slug fest!!:p

And, as a strategy for watching the Super Bowl at WDW, I suggest an early seating at the ESPN Club! (hey, I did have to make this a legitimate post, you know ;) ).

As for the PoC pirate, I'd say that one looks Italian...because he's Sid Caesar!

Howabout the parrot out front? As far as his nationality ... Brazilian? [Isn't that Pegleg Pete or something like that?]
If it's not the parrot, how about the dog holding the keys to the jail cell? He's certainly an accomplice. Maybe ... Scottish?

Good morning all, breakfast is served.
Disneyjen, I think we should put that pitiful performance out of our minds. Maybee we can just deny yesterday happened.

Looks like there is room for a question.
What is the name of your ride vehicle in Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin?

DisneyJen bolts out of her CC hammock, shakes the cobwebs from her head .... it was all a horrible nightmare .... tell me it was a mightmare JWill .... DisneyJen collapses back into her hannock.

Congrats to the Bucs and Raiders ... there's always next year.

Jwill do we ride intergalatic taxis?

On Buzz you ride in a XP-37 Space Cruiser.

Well, good moring everyone, I'm going to sit in the over in the corner and morn the Eagles. What was wrong with them! It was just pitiful. Mikelly, you leave me alone;) .

jwill >>> What is the name of your ride vehicle in Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin?
Is that the XP-37 Space Cruiser [aka Jr. Cadet Training Vehicle]?
We took my daughter's boyfriend with us in October. He had never been to WDW. He was pretty impressed by my *meager* score on Buzz. [Amazing what can help you bond!] Then *he* got 999,999 the next ride. He was quite thrilled. He's a big X-Boxer. Oh ... he's 26.

I believe there is one pirate who has an Asian appearance. If memory serves, he is bald with perhaps a long braided ponytail hanging down his back. (Not completely sure on that point though.) I'm not quite sure about his nationality - Chinese perhaps? I believe we see this guy in the scene where the pirates start chanting "We wants the redhead! Show us the redhead!" They are then promptly silenced with the captain fires his pistol.

Intergalactic AAQ cards to Distriv and Polk. You ride vehicle on Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin is an XP-37 Space Cruiser.
