Jwill, I guess it's still early on a Saturday morning for me! :o You asked me to let you know which answers were wrong, and instead I told you which ones were right. Oh well . . . it kind of equals out to the same thing in the end, so I'll leave that post as is.

just sitting around baking toll house cookies. They'll be ready soon. You guys just know TOO much !!! or like someone else said ... have WAY too much time on your hands ROFL

Cookies cooling. Everyone find the whiparita gal.

OCEAN:
Bill Nye is definately in the new JIYI or at least a reference to him. He is one of the three professors referred to in the pre show. Prof ? (robin williams) for flubber, and Wayne Salenzky are the other two. Or do I misremember?

That may be correct - I really can't remember, but that's not the third attraction I'm looking for. I'll give another little hint. In the attraction I'm looking for, Bill Nye isn't just mentioned. You see and hear him.

jwill >>> A welcome back AAQ card to polk. The Sand Bar can be found at the Contemporary.
Great! I'll go ahead and spend that AAQ ...
A 2-parter: (1) What a cappella vocal group sings regularly in the atrium/rotunda of the American Adventure Pavilion ... and (2) Who's the arranger for the music they sing?
The first part is such a softballer that we'll consider the right answer to include *both* parts. I'll add that I 'm pretty sure there's been only one arranger. But if there is a second, then it's the more prolific one [with respect to this group] that I'm referring to. [Whew!]

Would that be the Voices of Liberty with arrangements by Derric Johnson?

Ocean >>> Would that be the Voices of Liberty with arrangements by Derric Johnson?
Correct .. passing that AAQ along to Ocean.
I wanted to ask as a bonus the name of the group for which he originally wrote most of his stuff. But I guess that's not really theme park related. Besides, too many around here are too young to remember Regeneration. [Others may be too old to be *able* to remember!]

You know, I didn't realize that ReGeneration was actually a different group. I bought the two ReGeneration Chirstmas CDs that are for sale in the shop there at the American Adventure. I just assumed it was the Voices recording under a different name. You learn something new every day!

I guess I'll pocket this AAQ for awhile since I still have an open question out there. Maybe someone else will throw something out to keep us going.

jwill [way back on 01-10-2003 07:59 AM] >>> AAQ card to polk. The name of the developement on the billboard in back of Toluca Legs Turkey CO at MGM is Sunset Hills.
Well, since I never played that Sunset Hills AAQ card [got too busy working instead] .... I'll use it to post a follow-up to that Voices of Liberty question.
In the past the Voices of Liberty have, on occasion, sung one song with some of the singers singing from the balcony overlooking the audience ... and the others singing from the normal position on the floor under the dome. But *only* on one certain occasion. On which occasion would that occur?

A practice golf ball AAQ to JWill ... the "mouse trap" is inded found on the Magnolia golf course ... Since it is happy hour here in the CC, and we are toasting MBabe with Dole Whiparitas from the magic cooler ... I am going to ask a follow up question.

On what hole of the Magnolia Golf Course can you find a "mouse trap?"

DH and I heading into Philly for dinner ... I'll try to check in later:wave:

Polk: Is it Christmas?

Disneyjen: Is it the 6th hole?

Yes we should raise up our Whiparitas to Mickeybabe and her trip.

Happy Hour? Did someone mention Happy Hour? A toast to MickeyBabe-here's to tons of magic on her trip!!

DisneyJen: the 13th hole?
No Clue on the Bill Nye question-I had even forgotton the Dinosaur queue (DOH!)
Polk: Memorial Day?

Bundle up gang...it's freezing here again tonight!!!

PS: Ozzel/Kim, thanks for including me on the PGP!! :D

Recapping the question: In the past the Voices of Liberty have, on occasion, sung one song with some of the singers singing from the balcony overlooking the audience ... and the others singing from the normal position on the floor under the dome. But *only* on one certain occasion. On which occasion would that occur?
Not July 4. And not Memorial Day. Although I *think* the only songs I've heard them do this way are "Star Spangled Banner" and "Battle Hymn".
And not Christmas. But that Christmas thought makes me feel generous enough to redirect your thinking. Sort of a "paradigm shift" thingie.
One more hint. [Did you know you got one already?] It's not a once a year occasion. In fact, it probably *has* occurred on one or more of those 3 days that have already been mentioned. It's just that the specific day itself is not the occasion.
Gee! I'm getting twisty-headed just thinking about the hints! And I know the answer!!

Polk, is it only on the last song of a set, before you go into the main show?

ksdave >>> is it only on the last song of a set, before you go into the main show?
Well, that *is* the specific song on which it would occur ... but only whenever it did occur [of course]. I'm sure it was done as the last song of the set simply because it would be the highlight of the set. So, it was done last. But only on those occasions when the "effect" was used.
So, that's not *when* it would occur. In other words, that's not the occasion/circumstance that would prompt the split choir. [Actually, I think it'd be called a double choir instead of a split choir.]

Does it have to do with the anniversary of the writing or adoption of our national anthem?
