Jen.... I have several sources showing BTM as the highest "Mountian" in Florida.... at 197 ft.

Big Thunder Mountain is the tallest "mountain" in Florida at 197 feet. Splash Mountain is next followed by Space Mountain at 180 feet. The tallest land is 347 feet up by the Georgia border.

Could it get shorter with Whiparitas? ;) :p

Speaking of which.... I'm ready for a double :p... would you care to join me? ;)

:p

Triple me, MBabe.
Jwill - Is it Sunny Sky? Stitch?:p :p Okay I have no idea.
Gometros - Did they have to re-do an exit or something for a walkway? Okay, I have no idea on that one, either.
Pintrader - Is it the lovely pictures of Dr. Szelinski? Are they from HISTA? Okay, I have no clue on that one either.
Higgsy - I hate these questions.:p Please quit making me think this hard at work. Are they all rides that make you pee your pants?:p :p :p

I'll guess ...... Horizons in 1971 :p

:smooth:

How ironic...you lost my question...about Test Track, Tower of Terror, and Splash Mountain...:)

That's OK Babe...I understand...that WDW vacation is coming...I would be excited too

jwill...is Tom Morrow the Constellation Cup winner??

no idea on pintrader and gometros' questions....

Oh my.... I thought i missed one :o.... Sorry Higgs.....
Boy...do I need a Vacation.... I think I'll go to Disney World... :p

Open Question.....

Higgs....Here is a Whiparita for your trouble... am I forgiven? ;)

:smooth:

Gee - I got none of my guesses right? Quick - someone get something right and throw out a softball!

MBabe - Better quadruple me on those Whiparitas - I can still see straight. Medicate me!

So is Horizons the correct answer to any of those open questions?

How did the building of the Yacht and Beach Club cause a change to one of the attractions in EPCOT?

The attraction had to be re-painted to *blend in* with the colours of the resorts...

Don't forget peoples.... we don't want to get too awful many open questions in the mix for fearof losing them

That's EXACTLY the reason that Supermaki first set this game up the way he did - that you only get to ask a question if you answered the last one...(only one active question at a time) that way there was more concentration on the game then anything else...;) (note the smiley)

By the way - I found OT - he was busy washing down some aspirin's with a Dole Whip...

mrsapalm:Not Sunny Sky( clever though) or Stitch.
Higgs: Not Tom Morrow but a logical choice.
almost forot Yensid: no for Horzions.

As far as those other questions I don't have a clue.

Mrsapalm is on the right track, we need a softball question, actually a wiffle ball on a tee would be better right now.

gometros.... I'll second madonna.... good answer!

 madonna...... Hi there! we've missed you!.... Well I know I have :).... Work getting in the way? I guess that happens to all of us sometimes  Any hoo.... here have a Whiparita

MrsA.... Deep breath... now here is your Whiparita, have a seat here in a CCAC and relax.

:smooth:

First, I want to second Madonna’a answer on the Epcot question…repainting sounds like a logical answer…

Second…WELCOME BACK MADONNA! We missed you…I was getting ready to send out a search party to you and OT…glad to see you made it back to the CC…

And…I was thinking…we do tend to get a few to many open questions out there, and some get lost…While I don’t think I want to go back to the "one question at a time format" I do think limiting the floor to three active questions is reasonable…

What do y’all think? It would make the game less confusing….

BTW…I still haven’t gotten the right answer to my question yet…still waiting to hear the "U" word :p

Jwill: I know, I know!! It's Al Unserbot (My kids and I just rode this Friday)

Higgs: They all have their big event at the end or near the end of the ride. (Splash's Drop, TOT Drops, TT outside on the lap track). The rest of the ride builds up to that. Or, you have your picture taken on all of them.

Higgs - you're close but it wasn't something added to block anything.

Madonna - painted yes, but it had nothing to do with blending in with the resorts.

Granny you do have a dirty mind. Actually, she was reading a poem to her grandparents at her Bat Mitzvah for the candle lighting ceremony. It was about how she always enjoyed visiting WDW with them and the Grand Prix was one of her favorite rides. Since her mother helped her write some of the words, you might say it was a cold reading, hence the goof :p

 Higgs....I second Mikelly's answer... you get your picture on all three of them :)

Hey and I seconded madonna first !!!!!.....
Who's on first, What's on second, I Don't Know is on third  :p :p :p

Sandy.... Since the attraction would have its back facing the resorts... I'll guess (and I emphasize guess ;)).... it was painted to belnd in with the trees and bushes and such... so the building was not noticable form the resort :)

:smooth:

Automotive AAQ card to Mikelly. Al Unserbot jr. is the four time winner of the Constellation Cup.

Three questions sounds good however if they are all hard we will be in the same boat. Maybee we should have a one softball per two hardball questions rule to keep things rolling.

Just a thought.

MBabe let's have a Dole Whip-arita and discuss this BTM issue ... My source... "Walt Disney World Fact and Figures" From Walt Disney World Co. comes from the old info center in EPCOT.

"The Magic Kingdom Park is home to three of Florida's highest "mountains!" Big Thunder Mountain in Frontierland rises 97 feet, Space Mountain in Tomorrowland rises 180 feet and Splash Mountain in Frontierland rises 87 feet."

Sheesh ... I guess I won't be able to ask any mountain height questions for a few hundred pages;):p ;)

I do think we need to go back to the original format of one question at a time ... so easy to get lost ... and for me it doesn't take all that much;)

Mikelly - I'll say the attraction in question is Journey into Imagination and they had to paint the backside to look like the frontside - since the backstage areas are kept el' plain-o, and that wouldn't make for good 'show'. No blending in, no camoflage - just the continuation of the paint job so all visable sides looked good.

As for your question Higgs - do all three have part of them "outside the berm" so to speek?

-Kim

jwill, they are all hardballs as far as I am concerned. My brain is so overTAXed right now I'm not sure if I am coming or going. I can't even begin to come up with even the most simple answers. I was going to second the picture answer for the ToT, TT, and SM, but then I remembered that you get your picture made on RnR, and every other time you turn around at WDW. The only other answer I could come up with is that they tell you to secure your hats, glasses, cameras, etc. Do you sit 3 across on each of them (3 per side on ToT)?

Jen....Let's discuss this over a pitcher of Whiparitas.... *hic*... I believe it looks to be about 71 feet to me ;) :p... that's my story and I'm sticking to it ;)

:smooth:

I can handle 3 questions at a time - I know we've been flexible in the past as long as it doesn't get out of hand, but I've gotta say we do a spot-on job of policing ourselves and working as a team.
Okay, that's all the inspiration drivel I'll submit right now - can't get too mushy around here!;) ;)
Mikelly's answer sounds good - the photos on all three -- so that's what I'm rooting for!
MBabe - Thanks for that pick-me-up... sweet, frosty libations are the way to go today!
Madonna - Swooping in as the voice of reason in our time of peril and confusion -- good show, my man (woman)! Nice to see ya around - hope work hasn't been getting in the way of the CC.:p :p
Ugh - can anyone tell how stressed I am? My trip could not come any faster!
-MrsAPalm

 We don't need to make bunches of rules guys...

Just be aware of what is out there before you post a question...

If one is particularly hard, hold onto your difficult question for a little while later. No Biggie :p

Remember, no one is trying to slow the game with difficult questions. Why, the "Love Shack" question itself was considered a softball by it's originator :)

:) And never forget Softballs are loads of fun too :p

Now to keep myself honest....

Pintrader... Is The Audio-Animatronic toucan bird used in the TransCenter's "The Bird and The Robot" in the Imagination Pavillion Ride ?
