On the loading dock of The Jungle Cruise there ia an employee of the month plaque. Who's name is on the plaque?

Who has the Dole Whips tonight?

Granny, that photo was taken at teh Lobby in the Poly (hehe, I made a rhyme).

I now that because I tried to post the same exact picture once, but all I got was one of the dreaded RED X!

Distriv.....here's an AAQ card for you for remembering your photo!

aaqcoup.jpg

Oops...I guess we'll need an updated AAQ card...this one's left over from the last thread! ;) And I'll try to make the next photo a little tougher for you!

and jwill....no clue on your question!

AAQ for you DisneyJen-they are on the boxes containing various droid parts floating overhead as you enter the queue. They are made to look like serial numbers. I found my birthday-not the same year though!! :p

No clue on the Adventureland question-is that the only one we have hanging out there? Do we need a recap?

 Good morning fellow CCers (chalk circle residents)

Looks like the only outstanding question is Jwill's:

On the loading dock of The Jungle Cruise there ia an employee of the month plaque. Who's name is on the plaque?

Is it Shrunken Ned? Time for some caffeinated Dole Whips;)

Good morning all, breakfast is late this morning.

No on shrunken Ned, good guess though.

disneyjen: I will second you in the need for a Dole Whip.

DisneyJen reaches into the magical cooler on MBabe's chair and distributes Dole Whips flavored with Folgers coffee crystals ...

Thanks for brunch Jwill;) How about Jungle Jim? George of the Jungle? Can you tell I haven't ridden the Jungle Cruise in awhile?

I don't normally drink coffee or anything caffinated but there's something about the crunchiness about these Folgers crystal topped Dole Whips that I like. Maybee it's that magic shell (ice cream topping)appearance to them.:D

No on Jungle Jim or George of the Jungle.

Before this trip in Dec, it's been years since I have ridden Jungle Cruise also.

I believe Living Seas is another place, if I remember correctly from my Backstage Magic Tour a few years back.

err, never mind. Wrong park

I still have an outstanding question:

Which oil company once sponsored a Main Street USA Attraction?

And to avoid shotgun solutions - What was the attraction and what years did it run from and to?

:sunny: Good Morning Guys :sunny:

Are you ready for some football????

Thanks for the breakfast jwill :)

I brought you some Dole Whip-lattes.... that is if you would rather not have the Folger's crunch ;) :p

 jwill.... Is the Employee of the month Safari Sam???

Here is a little bonus question ;)....

Two weeks from today where might you find your favorite DW Wench? :p

I'm heading for BTMRR.... anyonre in????

:smooth:

gometros... Good Morning :sunny: here have a Dole Whip-latte.... and have a seat....

I believe you are asking for .... The Hospitality House, Walt Disney Story, which was sponsored by Gulf Oil Corporation c. 1971 - c. 1977. :)

:smooth:

No on Safari Sam,

In two weeks will the Dole Whip Wench be at WDW?

gometros: Was it The Walt Disney Story. It was sponsored by Gulf Oil co from 1973-1979. The atraction The Walt disney Story itself ran from 1973-1992.

MB and jwill, you're both getting closer, but you still have the end date incorrect. The question was for the duration of the oil company's sponsorship, not the life of the attraction itself.

jwill - did you catch my question about the switching of the ship name on the SFT? I was curious why they would make such an innocuous change.

Special AAQ card to jwill...

Yes... Your favorite DWhip Wench will be heading for the non- virtual Aloha Isle :p back "Home" at WDW :bounce: My Christmas present from my wonderful DH :).

:smooth:

Edit: gometros... My source show c. 1971- c. 1977 as the duration of the sponsorship

We often find different sources give alternate answers here in the CC :p.

But our rule of thumb has always been... your question, your source, your answer.... in most instances :)

I'll keep looking ;)

~ Babe

mickeybabe: Thats a good present. Will you be doing surprize inspection quality control tests at Aloha Isle?

gometros: I will say 1973-80 as the Gulf oil sponsorship then.

I didn't know the name of the ship untill I saw that plaque in December, even though I have that movie. If I had known about the Titus name on the plaque I would have qualified the question with what current name or something like that. I'm with you, why change the name, when and what is the connection with the name change?

gometros... I read further in the same source  and found the dates of Gulf Oil's sponsorship from opening in 1973 to 1979... Go figure :p

" Walt Disney World's version of the attraction was housed in a building constructed expressly for the film. This new structure wrapped around the south and west sides of the Gulf Hospitality House, with its long, garden-flanked entrance (depicted above) jutting out into Town Square and its exit spilling guests into the Hospitality House itself. It opened in April 1973 and was dedicated on May 6, in a ceremony attended by Mrs. Lillian Disney Truyens and Mrs. Roy O. Disney. The attraction was sponsored by the Gulf Oil Corporation from its opening until 1979."

I give up :p..... I need a Splash Mountian run....

Oops... the original chart I read said 1973- c. 1980....

FYI... this is not an official shotgun answer

Good idea jwill.... I do think I should teach them how to do the Dolw Whip-latte and of course the Dole Whiparita :p.

Jen if you are watching... my answer is.... Employee of the month... Mikey Eisner? ;)

:smooth:

Thanks for the AAQ card Granny, I'm going to hold on to it for now (I think its an antique!).

Mbabe, with you gone where will the Dwhips come from! Are we going to have to get up! Or (The Horror!) get them ourselves! The CC will be thrown into disarray!
