Parks Game! Part 7.1! Come On...Keep Playing...You Know You Want To!

Oops, sorry MBabe, didn't see your earlier posting <bows humbly and hands over dripping AAQ card>.

Actually, the Epcot attraction I was thinking of was Honey, I Shrunk the Audience (dog sneeze).

Category: The World that Never Was

In the early plans for Magic Kingdom, Pirates of the Caribbean was not supposed to be installed. Rather, a similar boat ride was to be opened with a different theme. Name the theme and the name of the ride that never left the drawing board.

Ahhhhh, I read something about this! But I can't remember it!
*hits head on keyboard*
Was the theme something along the lines of a jungle expedition?

Well, I'm out of here for a bit, I got my copy of the new Harry Potter in the mail today. Its comes out tomorrow but I guess Barnes & Noble shipped it early.

Sorry, not a Jungle Cruise.

Hello...(hello, hello..) Anybody here this afternoon?

<gasp> You got yours already? I'm headed to Barnes & Noble after work to get my number and hang out til midnight to get my copy. And yes, I know my life is sad. LOL

To keep me honest, I'll guess the boat ride was Isles of the Mediterannean.

Carpedm.... Are you thinking of Thunder Mesa/Western River Expedition?

Eventually it was re-tooled into BTMRR instead.

:smooth:

MB gets the Lost AAQ.

Western River Expedition was to be a western themed dark ride such as PoC. However, when people started demanding PoC in Florida, the effort went towards putting that attraction in instead of WRE. The Thunder Mesa theme was later resurrected for BTMRR.

What's interesting is that Disney did not want to put in PoC initially because they thought that the theme would be too familiar to people living in Florida. I've never lived in Florida, but I'm fairly certain they don't have pirates sacking towns any longer, even in 1970. :)

I'm done for today. See everyone on Monday.

Thanks, I had better use this before I lose it ;) :p

In what WDW atraction can you find a snowglobe company?

:smooth:

Have a good one carpedm see you Monday

I'm still not feeling too hot, but I'll be at Barnes & Nobles at 11 tonight with my DD. Wish me luck.

Clearly you've never been near the beaches there during spring break. :D

:sunny:Good Morning PG players :sunny:
Hows everyones Saturday so far? Good I hope. It looks like its me and the tumblewees this morning so how about a softball to get things going,
What attraction in WDW is the only place on property where the CM's are not supposed to smilie?

Sorry everyone, the above post is me under my friends screen name, it wouldn't let me delete the post so I thought I should tell everyone.

Distriv.... you had me going there for a moment ;).... I'll agree with our new player Jay72.... The Haunted Mansion....

But I would like to add that the CMs at Tower of Terror don't smile either. I'm not sure if it is in their job description the way it is at the Haunted Mansion ;)

:bounce: Welcome Jay Since 72! :bounce:

We love having new players join in. Make yourself at home. :)

:smooth:

Distriv.... What are you feeding those tumbleweeds? They seem to be getting bigger :earseek:

 Hi MK.... Thanks for the Welcome home :). Enjoy your book, I'm guessing you get to read it after your DD ;)
