Sorry for the delayed response, I never received notice like most threads. Yes, 189 ft. to keep it under 190 ft. which would require it to have warning beacons. An AAQ award of the 'highest' order to you Princess!
I rode and viewed this in January 1983, but I think it was a soft opening, which leads me to believe it was not ready for the official 1982 Grand Opening of EPCOT. So I'll go with 1983.
