Parks Game: Part 11! "Still Playing After All These Years..."

Granny - How about for the dedication of EPCOT Center, spoken by Mr. E. Cardon Walker, October 24,1982.

OK if the dreaded Black Monorail is going to come out--it's going to come out for Granny's question...because those sound suspiciously like the words spoken by Walt Disney at the opening of DL in 1955--and that just won't do in a WDW game...

But now that I look at them again--I see they are close--but slightly different--Let me guess they were spoken by Roy Disney at the opening of Walt Disney World in October 1971....

BTW--Welcom back IASW Rider--it's been wayyyy too long :)

To paraphrase Seinfeld's Soup Nazi..."NO Black Monorail for YOU!!" :p

Those words were indeed spoken during the dedication of Epcot by Mr. Walker.

An inspirational AAQ card to 1Hour! :)

This thread resides on the Theme Park Attractions and Strategies board and therefore we need to try to stick with questions relating to the theme parks.

Also, to set the record straight on a previous question...

John Wayne is not featured in the American Adventure.

He can only be seen on TGMR.

Now, back to the game....

oops... You are correct 1Hour. It is Roy Rogers in AA. Higgs, you can have one of my personal AAQs since I messed up and I don't want to take it from you.

But, if I must ride in the Black Monorail with you Higgs, we can catch up on missed happy hours ;)

:p

How much is a gallon of gas going for in the American Adventure??

Whoopsie doopsies!!! Sourry about that one!! Hope I'm forgiven!!!!!:worship:

What does the black monorail mean btw??

The Black Monorail is the transportation of choice of the dreaded Parks Game Semantics Police.

The PGSP used to show up in their Black Monorail to clear up any disputes among players regarding correct answers and such. When they do appear, their word is final and any arguing leads to one being hauled away and put in "time out".

Lately, they only show up when we stray from questions about the theme parks (since we are on the theme parks board). In essence, they help us monitor this thread so the moderators don't have to worry about us abusing the location of the thread. We don't want to have to move to the Community Board!!! :earseek:

And, in keeping with the game, I'll throw out a question so we don't get a visit from the PGSP!!

Where would one to in EPCOT to shop for Arribas Brothers crystal?

Granny - Excellent explanation, as usual, on the Black Monorail.

To answer your question - you can buy crystal products from the Arribas Brothers in both Mexico and Germany.

Now, if you want to know specific names of shops - I'll have to do some research.

I know the shop in Germany is out front of the pavillion. Used to be and info center. Now it is an open air shop selling Arribas Brothers Crystal.

1Hour....nicely done! Actually, I didn't know about Mexico, only that it was in Germany. The name of the shop there is Kunstarbeit In Kristall. A fine crystal AAQ card to 1Hour!! :)

Good point on the DBM Granny!
BTW---I guess my answer of "a store" wouldn't be acceptable...LOL

Well....wait no more! :p
What flight were we taking when we began our trip on Horizons? Why is that number significant?

I'm back just in time to field a Horzons question.

The flight number is 83, the year that Horizons opened.

Sandy,

You got it! Right on both accounts. I figured that we were way overdue on a Horizons question!:p

A "choose your own destination" AAQ card for you!

Since I love to take advantage of the different tours when we go to WDW, here's a question with that in mind:

What is the name of the tour that takes you to all eleven countries in the World Showcase?

Hidden Treasures it is.

A Weenie AAQ for locating that treasure. You're up.

Thanks gometros! Here's an easy one:

What are the names of the two tracks in Space Mountain?

Let's see....they're named after greek letters as I recall. How about taking the easy choice and saying Alpha and Omega?
