Parks Game: Part 10! How Perfect is That!!!

I liked Horizons answer, someoen should pass it on to an imagineer to see if a Mickey hat and a mention of the opening of Disneyland can be squezzed into the CoP somewhere.....

Todd, looks like you're up for the next toss!

:earsboy:

:wave2: Hi PG Players! I'm missing the CC.... I think I've been working too hard ::yes::

Since Todd is currently AWOL... I will use one of my AAQ cards and toss out an evening question to make you all think.....

In the current incarnation of JIYI, right after the briefing film from Dr. Nigel Channing, the head of the Imagination Institute, There are a series of six doors. What is written on these doors?

:teeth:

Good Guess... but no. :)

I'll give hints later if needed. ;)

:p

umm Gravity
Color
Dimension
Sound
Illusion
Image Works...

Or was that at the reception desk... or are they the same... or

uh oh... i think i just blew a blood vessel....

I think one of the doors is to the office of "Dr. Wayne Szalzinsky" (or some other spelling of the same name)?

MBabe, are you talking about the doors with the other professors naems on them- Wayne Szalinski, Dr. Brainard and Weebo? can't remember anymore...

/
There are a number of ships and boats all over WDW property that are used as props, and not used for actual transportation. Some of these boats have seen better days!
Name as many of these boats or ships and their locations as you can?

And MBabe, the only door in JIYI I know for sure is "Dean Finder."

I'm a huge figment fan and yet I don't recall the doors your talking about. Are you speaking of before or after your actually on the ride itself? There are the doors with the professor's names on them, but I was assuming you meant right after you board and your car turns to the side to view the opening video ... but I don't recall any doors there and I also watched our video of the ride and only see one and it says imagination institute right before the sound lab ... help...lol!:bounce:

MBabe....I've seen those doors...right after you start the ride on your right. And I think Szalinski is one of the names on the doors, and maybe an inventor or two. How about Albert Einstein?:)

James...great question...I'll guess for boat locations:

1. Viking ship at Norway in EPCOT
2. Ship at Stormalong Bay pool at Beach Club
3. Wrecked ship at Typhoon lagoon.

I know there are many more, but that's a start!

By the way, these "where in the World" questions are my favorites in that they get me mentally strolling the parks...a great diversion from an otherwise hectic day!

Are we including attractions too?

If so, then I'll add:

Peter Pan's Flight
Splash Mountain
BTMRR...well, the bathtub's kind of like a boat! :p
Donald's Boat in Toon town
Indian canoes on Liberty Belle tour
Downtown Disney boats (Fultons & ??)
I'm sure there are prop boats in PoC
Prop boats in IASW
Great Movie Ride...I'm sure there's a boat in there!

I'm sure there are more!

:)

the boat in front of America's Pavillion that is on the lake in Epcot?

adamb

Boats, good one!

How about:

the Swiss Family Robinson Tree House
Beach Club/Yacht Club (swimming pool, decor, etc.)
Jungle Cruise ( in the "up a pole" scene?)
Backlot Tour ( several on that one )
Disney Studios lagoon

most of the obvious ones are already listed, I'll be thinking of some more......

:earsboy:

What about the boat snack stand/place to get food, in the center of MGM studios? I forget the name of it.

adamb

Ya'll are doing a great job of listing where some of these boats are located, BUT most of them have names, and I haven't seen any names yet!

The named boats identified so far:
Stormalong Bay Shipwreck-? –Granny
Typhoon Lagoon Shipwreck-? –Granny
Norway Viking Ship-? –Granny
Splash Mountain Riverboat-? –Granny
Donald's Boat in Toontown-? –Granny
Backlot Tour Special Effects Boat-? –amandadaddy
Swiss Family Treehouse Ship-? –amandadaddy
American Gardens Theater Ship on the WS Showcase Lagoon-? –adambreakey
Pirate Ship in Peter Pan's Flight-? –Granny
There are still many missing names!

Some boats that are not named as far as I know:
Rivers of America canoes –Granny
IaSW boats –Granny
Italy Pavilion Gondollas –darwineffect
Jungle Cruise boat –amandadaddy

Keep trying!

OK - the boat in the world showcase lagoon by the american theater is called the 'Golden Dream' -- right?

adamb

and the boat in MGM i was thinking of is the one that is called - Min and Bill's Dockside Dinner -- but I am not sure of the name of the boat.

adamb

Oh, the names of the boats?

Backlot Tour has the Miss Fortune, I believe.

And there's the Zip-adee-Lady (or something like that) at Splash Mountain.

Is the Typhoon Lagoon boat the "Miss Tilly"?

Swiss Family Robinson boat is a bit of an argument here (seems like they've had two names), but I'll go with the Swallow.

That's all I know off the top of my head.

More names....isn't Captain Hook's ship called the "Jolly Roger"?

Is Donald's boat called the "Miss Daisy"?

And I guess the PoC ship would be the Black Pearl?
