Just starting to plan our first Universal trip, Very suprised to see how early the parks close. What are the popular nighttime suggestions?

If you go in a non-peak time, the parks close earlier than a peak season. When are you going?

We plan to go in September. Arriving by Sat. noon and only spending one night. Do you think that's enough time to see both parks?

You can hit the highlights of both parks. Don't expect to see it all though. Think of it as asking if someone can do WDW in 3 days. It's possible but you will miss a lot. It will still be fun!

Well then, we'll see some of the parks and have good reason to return next year. We've learned via Disney that it's better to slow down and enjoy than to rush and run through the parks. I'm still having trouble swallowing the cost of the onsite hotels in Universal...offsite may be our choice this trip.

When is Sept are you going?

Sept is generally so slow that you don't need any kind of Express/FOTL.

I'll be there in a couple of weeks and I've noticed that the parks close at 8:00p.m.?

I thought that this was Spring Break Time?

I guess I'll make my 9:00 p.m. bedtime! :rotfl2: :lmao:

What do people usually do in the evenings? We are planning a trip this Nov. and it looks as if the parks close around 6-7pm.

We are going on March 23-25 and staying at RPR. IOA closes at 6:00 on Thur and Fri. The rest of the month it closes at 8:00 or 7:00. Why the early closure on those days? It will be fine but just wondering. We'll have earlier dinners and go to O'Briens earlier I guess.
Are there maybe special events going on? :confused3

People go to fancy dinners in the evening. You can catch a dinner show like Dixie Stampede, or visit a restaurant on I-drive. And there's Citywalk, with restaurants, and a movie theater. Staying onsite? Go for a swim in the pool and have a drink.
My feet are usually tired after walking all day. I go to bed to wake up early the next morning and be at the gate first.
