Parks are Opening at 9am on Labor Day Weekend

I wonder why, they are opening this late??
Anybody have a guess?

They have races that weekend. Saturday is a 5k through the parks and Sunday is the 1/2 through the parks and Anaheim.

Summer hours at DLR officially end August 24th this year. By Labor Day they are starting to scale back the hours a bit.

Not sure if you saw it, but ON Labor Day, the Parks open at 8am.

This is perfect for me since my plane lands at 7:20AM on 9/1. Hopefully that is enough time to rent a car and drive down to make it by the 9:00AM opening. And I have APEE on Monday 9/3 so that means 7AM, which is great as well
