Parking??

$9 or free with preferred annual pass.

Preferred parking $12--not really worth the extra money in my opinion.

Valet: $16 (well worth it)

On the subject of parking.... I'm not sure if we're going to drive or take the hotel shuttle. (Fairfield Inn). Does anyone know where the shuttle busses let off? It's been several years since we've been to Universal, but I remember an extremely long walk from the parking lot. Just wondering if we could avoid the long walk with the shuttle. Thanks! :flower:

The shuttle buses drop you off at Guest Drop off area. It is closer than the parking lots. You will have a short walk to get to citywalk and after walking through citywalk, you hit the parks.

That was exactly what I wanted to know. Thanks for the info, Phamton!

We are going to US/IOA next month and so I am a newbie to this area. I have a quick question on the $16 dollar valet parking: Where is that located??? Is this the valet parking at CityWalk??? If so, do you just follow signs to City Walk and find the valet parking there??? If not, then where is it located??? I'd much rather pay $16 to save some time and aggravation in the morning.

Thanks.

Both parks (Universal and Islands of Adventure) and Citywalk all use the same parking lots and the same valet parking. There are no signs to Citywalk at either the parking lots or for valet parking. Just follow the signs for valet parking. It is closer than the Guest drop off and pick up area. Valet parking is the closest parking. To go to either park, you have to walk through Citywalk unless you are staying onsite.

I read somewhere that if you eat at Emeril's they will validate your $16 valet parking (i.e. it's free with lunch or dinner). Does anyone know if this is true?

Can anyone tell me about the parking garages? What is the height restriction for vechicles? Is there parking outside of the parking garage?

We will be in a Dodge Durango with a car top carrier and need to know if we will need to remove it before we go to US.

Thanks for your help. :flower:

If it is too high, they will direct you to the RV parking area. But I don't think you will have a problem at all.

Am I correct in thinking that RPR parking is different from the park parking? If so if I purchased an AP for the parks, the parking free part would not apply to hotel parking.

The free parking does not apply at the hotels. It is a different parking lot.
