Parking

When we used them, they blocked off every other spot to make wider spots and no one parked behind us because we could either park at the back of the spot.

Looking at Google maps, it seems that's not how it is usually done? There is one row at HS that is not marked HA that is "single layer" as is one row at AK, and one at MK. Couldn't find that layout at EPCOT. It would make more sense if they used those as overflow, but it doesn't seem they do by the satellite images. Every other spot isn't blocked off. And some you have to back out of or you'd be heading the wrong way in the traffic flow. So I guess you can't count on getting extra space around you.

This is a Google maps screenshot of the Epcot Medical/Handicapped parking.
The actual blue painted spots have the cross hatched areas between them; most are small. There are a few ‘van accessible’ spots which have a large enough cross hatched area for an accessible van to put down their ramp and unload a wheelchair.
Parking in the blue painted spots requires a handicapped parking permit.

There is a walkway between the Medical parking rows at Epcot, so those rows are not ‘double long’ - they are just a single layer. The spots used for Medical Overflow at Epcot are double long ‘pull thru’ spots. We need to park in them often because either all of the blue spots are full. We have never seen them blocked off in any park 681D59C8-806C-4540-8DF4-CD39CE7C0678.jpegto make more space.

Wow you're lucky. I live 3 hours away a other than last year, I go frequently and I have never had that happen. I have literally asked to drive to the last spot when I'm at EPCOT, just to get in and out easier. The walking distance isn't that much further if I'm halfway down the row already.
