Can anyone give me parking info at the resorts? How much? Where? etc...

We will be staying at the Port Orleans Riverside.

Thanks!

It doesn't cost anything to park and from all of my experiences, I've never seen a completely full parking lot. It may be a small walk, but nothing like in the parks!

You'll be issued a parking permit when you check in. The CM should ask if you have a vehicle. If they don't, be sure to let them know. And keep the parking permit on your vehicle dash while parked at your resort. Security does occasionally have unauthorized vehicles towed.

No charge for parking in your resort lot--or any of the WDW parks! Either display your resort parking permit when entering the parking toll plaza at the parks or have it in hand.

When you check in they will give you a 1/2 sheet of paper to put on your dashboard which is your tix to park at all parks and resorts, for free. Valet is additional.

Check out the map for POR if you want to request a room close to parking. That's what we request since we always have a rental vehicle. We liked Building 14 at POR when we were there-close enough to parking and close to food court. We had a great, corner, 1st floor room.

HTH.

Everytime we've gotten to the resort, we've checked in at the entry gate to each of the hotels. THey have names of guests they're expecting and they check you off. They'll give you your parking pass then. The folks at the front desk also ask if you need a parking pass. This pass allows you to go in and out of the lot at your resort...as well as enter other resorts because there is a date on it corresponding to your stay. POR is a decent sized hotel and they have plenty of parking! We've stayed at POFQ and never had a problem parking there and it's a much smaller resort.

POR is a big resort.

I request garden view in the middle of the building

had building 85 - magnolia terrace - and it was in the middle - so going to the bus or the food court was just about equal distance.

that is what you want at POR.

otherwise going to the food court will be a long walk. that say certainly would not drive my car to the food court - wasting gas.

All the times we've stayed on property we've never gotten our parking pass before checking in. :confused3 Maybe it depends on the resort? But yes, they will have your name on a list saying you are checking in that day. But if you don't get your pass from the security guard at the gate, don't worry, you'll get it with your check-in materials. :goodvibes

When we checked into CR in August we got the parking pass at the security gate and another at check in.
