I know this has been asked but I can't seem to find the answer.

I'll be driving down to dl for the day & have an ap w/o parking. I know I can park & then take my receipt to the bank to upgrade my ap to add parking & get reimbursed... But, can I then have my friend pick me up at the turnaround & go with her to use my ap w/my added parking? She's really on a tight budget & I thought I'd try to help her & we can't carpool bb/c we're coming from 2 entirely different directions. Or, will they somehow scan my ap & know that I already used the parking feature that day?

Also, is there in and out privileges at the dl lot?

Thanks for any help.;)

There are in and out privilages. I think they scan your card so I don't know about the other thing.

You can, but I don't think this is encouraged.. It doesn't need to be the driver or the owner of the car. So for all the CM knows when he/she scans your card is that you came earlier and left and now you're back again.

ETA: Also when you go back through with your friend in her car, the CM will ask you for your parking receipt and I think you can just tell them that you turned it in to upgrade your AP...

Is this right everyone?

You can but only for that day. Other days they will scan your AP and will know you've already been admitted for free.

Technically, you will be double-dipping if you pick your friend up and use your AP to park her car as you already used your free parking to park your car. As stated above, it probably will work, but it's not allowed. It's very nice that you are trying to help your friend out since money is tight, but maybe you could just pay for her parking?

They scan the AP and then give the guest a ticket on card stock. To reenter the guest must present the card stock ticket that has the info on it.

It is wrong morally and ethically. I believe it is one free admission per AP per day. I cannot condone this practice. If they allowed an AP to bring a convoy of friends on that one AP then they would have the system set up differently. As it is now they allow the AP to enter then come back later with a different car as long as they have the ticket. If the AP was allowed two vehicles at the same time then I feel the system would be made differently.

Thanks for everyone's replies. It sounds like you can only get 1 free car entry so, I'll just pay for my friend's parking as part of her gift. :goodvibes

I knew you all would know the answers.:thumbsup2

It is one free parking per AP per day. My family has 4 Premium APs so we could, in theory, accompany 4 different cars in daily and park. And yes, that is allowed, we made sure to ask when we got our APs because the girls have family in So Cal and we wanted to make sure it would be OK if Gma & Gpa decided to meet us in DL.

So you have to show the parking ticket if you re-enter on the same day? Huh, I never knew that. I guess I just never thought about it before. Since the parking is on the AP I just figured you show the AP again. Not sure if we'll ever need to do that but good to know that I shouldn't loose the parking ticket if I want to get back in! You learn something new everyday!

I tried getting in with my AP and they made me search the car for the ticket and I had 4 or 5 laying around the front seat and dashboard. That is when I saw my AP number and info on the tickets.

No stub means pay.

Exactly because if they scan your AP again they will say you've already used it for free parking.
