My family and my sister's family are going to WDW in June 2005. We are from ND and SD, but are flying out of MSP because the airfare rates are cheaper. I was wondering if there are any cheaper options for parking than parking at the airport? There are eight of us, so we will probably have two vehicles, and when I checked the msp webpage parking for 8 days looked pretty expensive (12 a day). We do have family about an hour from the cities that we can stay with. However, we could do a park and fly at a motel if that would be cheapter. Anyone have any good ideas? Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me.

There are a couple of options for off site parking that will save you some money. The two I will give you are located just south of 494 off of 34th ave.

http://parknfly.com/

Other off site parking that is located a little farther from the airport are also available. Their web sites are:

http://www.ezairpark.com/index.html (located in Eagan across the river from MSP)

The other one is Team Parking in St. Paul.... I can't find the web site right now.

We use the park and fly with a local hotel. www.hobbittravel.com lists two park and fly deals with great prices. I would recommed the Crowne Plaza. We stayed there last August and will do so again in June for $85 a night. If you don't have your vacation booked through Hobbit, you will have to pay them a $20 booking fee, but that isn't bad if you have multiple rooms. The hotel takes first class care of you. Seeing park n fly would cost us $68, the extra $20 is awesome and we get to start our vacation early!!!

One last thought is if you fly Sun Country, they offer a deal for a park and fly hotel as well. It is $99 including taxes at the Comfort Inn near the Mall of America. You can find the deal on www.suncountry.com if you are flying them.

I just realized that we may be at WDW at the same time since we are going in June too.

Feel free to PM me if you have other questions. I would be glad to help.

We flew to Oregon for 10 days 2 years ago. We stayed one night at the Best Western yankee Doodle Inn and they let us park the entire 10 days with no charge. I think the room cost 70.00. They also have a shuttle to the airport. It worked really well for us. It was about 3 miles from the airport.

Thanks for all of the great advice. That will give us a lot of options. There should be one we can all agree upon.

Dudspizza, we are going to WDW May 31-June 7. When are you going? We are flying Sun Country as well. I booked our flight when I saw the $206 fare. I kind of wish I had waited now. However, our flight is non-stop, and to me that is definately worth something.
