SHOULD OUR PARTY, AS A WHOLE, PARK AND TRAM TO ENTRANCE TOGETHER OR SHOULD I HAVE MY DH DROP ME OFF AT GUEST DROP OFF, AND HAVE HIM MEET ME AT GATE? WE ARE GOING TO DL ON FRI, 6/22 (NO NEMO) AND SUN 6/24 (NEMO DAY :scared1: ). COME ON VETERANS GIVE UP THE ADVISE. I HAVE NOT A CLUE. EVEN IF I GET DROPPED OFF WHO IS TO SAY MY DH WILL MAKE IT TO MY POSITION IN TIME FOR ROPE DROP.

I AM CONFUSED AND AM BEGGING FOR SOME ADIVISE.

Hi Tink

Well I always have my DH drop me off because I hate to deal with my DD and the stroller on the tram. Another plus is that there really isn't a crowd to get by security on that side. I hope this helps

We did the drop off when we went last Oct. It worked out great. Me and the kids and our double stoller quickly walked right in and got in line. DH was able to get to the tram and ride it in a lot faster alone then if we would have been with him. When he got to the entrance we met up easily with the use of cell phones.

I am assuming there are signs to indicate where the drop off is? Once I am dropped off my DH will be able to easily get to garage? Sad to say, but once we part I am afraid of what might happen to him. He is not the greatest at directions.

The answer is (in Nemo fashion): The Drop-off! We rode Nemo on Sunday, 6/17 and got to Mickey & Friends structure by 6:50 am. Obviously, the structure opens at 7:30. There were about 15 cars ahead of us in line with their engines off, so I decided to do the same. It was at this time when it came to me that "dropping off" would have been the best thing. We could have fed the kids breakfast while waiting at the front gates. Instead we sat in our car for about 40 minutes waiting for the structure to open. So the best case would be, use the drop-off, have someone park the car in the structure and have them either catch up in the line outside DL (if no EE, which Sunday the 24th will be) or catch up in the Nemo line.
BTW, you catch up to your party in the Nemo line up until you make the transition underneath the ride signage. The line does not queue anymore right underneath the monorail station like it used to. It is mostly a staging area that helps the CM organize the groups to load. Just let the CMs standing there know and they will let the driver rejoin your family.
We ended up waiting a little less than an hour for the Nemo subs and we were lined up right by the monorail columns at the gate. If we did the drop-off methodology, we would have easily gone on in the first round of subs.

once on Ball rd where do we go for drop off (we are actually staying with family and are driving from Yorba Linda/57 (?)) Once dropped off will there be signs for my DH to follow to the parking garage? I think I will do the drop off. My 1 yo will not want to sit still in a car for that long and I do not want to make him. Plus the eating breakfast thing sounds like a good idea.

My Dh dropped us off at the Harbor Blvd. entrance. Then he had to go around the block to the Mickey and Friends parking structure. He can't remember if there were signs but he said it was pretty easy to find. It took him 20 - 30 minutes to drive to the parking structure, park, take the tram, and then find us. The first day we were already in the park (so make sure he has his ticket and you have the yours), and the second day we were waiting at the rope drop but he still found us easily.

From Ball Road, take a left on Harbor, and you will see the drop off area - it is between the pedestrian/tram entrance and the parking entrance.

Once you're dropped off, have DH exit (he will have to turn right), make a U-turn, and get back on Ball Road. Turn left on Ball and then left again at the second light to get to the parking structure.
