Parking until our Check In

We are will be driving and arriving at Disneyland close to opening time (probably around 11) on our first day in the park but we won't be able to check into our hotel and have parking until close to 3. We have about a 4 hour time period where we need to figure out parking. Should we just pay for parking or is there another option you would suggest. Anyone know how much parking for DTD is, I have heard there is some free parking for a short time but I wasn't sure for how long and what the rate was like beyond the free time amount. Also is the regular 17 dollar parking at the Toy Story Lot?

Any suggestions or input would be appreciated!

Nothing in free in the resort district. All Disney lots cost the same. if you don't want to pay the $ for that, contact your hotel. I'm sure they would let you park and check your luggage with the bell desk before your check in.

Are you at a resort hotel or off site? If you are on site you can check in and park as early as 6am. Off site, most hotels have the 3pm officially posted but most will allow early arrival. I would call the hotel front desk directly and would be willing to bet that they will allow you to arrive and park before 3pm.

DTD offers 3 hours free with some sit down dining locations and the movie theater offering an additional validation. It's $2 every 20 minutes after that. It does say no theme park parking. They currently don't seem to enforce it, but I think they will have to raise the rates or start doing something now that the parking add on has been stopped for new APs. The lot is small and it does fill at night.

I agree with PP, contact your hotel and see if they will allow you to park there.

There are very few hotels in touristy places that truly do not allow you to do the checkin process before a certain time. You probably won't get a room yet, but can usually get access to parking etc.

Thanks for the input. I probably should have just called my hotel right off b/c you were all right. They said as long as there is space we can park there and usually after 10 or 11 there isn't a problem.
