Parking Questions

Is the parking lot for DCL its own private lot, or do you share lots with the other ships from that port?

Also, my aunt and uncle will be visiting us at the Raddison before we leave. Can they come into the terminal with us, or do we say our goodbyes at the hotel?

All parking at Port Canaveral is owned by the Port Authority. However, Disney does have a separate parking area for DCL. You'll only park with other DCL passengers.

As for the goodbyes, you'll need to take care of those at the hotel. DCL only allows *passengers* in the terminal and parking lots of the cruise line.

We are staying at the Radisson and using their free parking. How will they know we are on the cruise? Do they give you something to put in your window? I don't want to come back and see my car has been towed.

When staying/parking at the Raddison...you have to book the cruise package...more money than just if you were staying there. That covers your parking while you are on the cruise.

Sorry to disagree Webray, but anyone staying at the Radisson is welcome to park there. I have done so 2X myself, and also heard another cruiser who called the hotel to make sure a "cruise package" is not needed to get the parking. The hotel WILL ask you to park your car in a specific area so as not to take up the spots in front of the rooms while you are gone.
For anyone on a 7 day cruise this translates into an 70.00 savings! So you could look at it as a almost"free room"!

I got an e-mail from the same GM that sent the e-mail to the people that had a bad time there. We are staying the day after our cruise and he said we could still park there. We are going there for a wedding and were able to use the wedding rate and they said I could also park ther on my cruise.

When on our July 19 cruise, we parked at the Radisson. They told us to park in the grassy area or back behind the convention center.

We parked in the grassy area and our car was fine (I was a little nervous about it since it is a new car).

When we go on our 2nd cruise next summer, we'll do the same thing. It was so convenient and the shuttle service was good.
