Hi guys! Doing a day trip tomorrow. Parking tips? Can you still buy tickets at Toy Story lot? Is that faster than parking at Mickey and friends? I plan to get to parking lot at 7 for 8am park opening. I usually stay multi day at the parks, but this is just a family day trip This is my nephew's fist visit :lovestruc:yay:

I haven't seen the ticket cart at TS in awhile. You can buy the tickets online now, that would save some time. With an 8AM park opening, I'm not sure you'd make it arriving at TS at 7AM. Entering the lot, parking, waiting for the shuttle and the shuttle can easily take 40 min. Add in the bag check and possible metal detector, and that could also take 20-30 min in the morning. I'd pad an extra 30 min if you want to be in the turnstile line at 8AM.

Toy story opens an hour before park and Mickey and friends an hour and a half before park opens. Is it faster to park and tram from Mickey and friends?

Arrived at Toy Story parking lot 7:05. Park opened at 8 am. They had a row of trams ready to bring people to the parks. You cannot buy tickets at the lot. We were at the esplanade by 7:20 and had no problems buying tickets and lining up for rope drop :)

Technically they're buses and Disney calls it the TS Shuttle. The trams (at Mickey and Friends) don't even have license plates since they never travel on public roads.

I go way back. I remember taking the old Disneyland parking lot trams. They had license plates (the old black California plates) because they could be used to cross the street to get to the Disneyland Hotel. They also smelled horrible with 60s era engines spewing out tons of unburned fuel. The natural gas powered trams used today are light years cleaner and safer.
