Parking Question

My in laws are considering purchasing one of their five day hopper passes through AAA so theat they can get one of those diamond parking lot passes. I can get teh hoppers cheaper through our local military MWR.

So I guess our question is is the AAA parking lot worth it? Is it considerably closer? Does it make parking easier/ less of a hassle? Also, does Disney have those little tram trains in the parking lot to help people to their cars throughout the day?

Any suggestions/ advice you have would be appreciated!

Yes Disney has parking lot trams. We always park in the regular lot and the trams are very convenient.

One thing to consider as well is that the AAA parking passes seem to have a lot of blackout dates. We got tickets thru AAA for the same reason, and could only use the parking 2 days of the trip. It did get you close to the entrance, however, if you arrive early, you can be just as close. Also, we saw trams running constantly.

Thanks for the input guys...we're going to the MWR tomorrow to just buy the hoppers. Glad to know that about the AAA blackout dates, hadn't heard that before.

Also, in many of the parks, AAA lot is near/beyond the handicapped lot. The handicapped and AAA lots ARE NOT serviced by the trams. Some of the farthest spots in the handicapped lots are quite a hike to the park entrance.
